Joycelyn didn’t listen and left immediately. 

Seeing she wasn’t responding, Leah furrowed her brows even more and said, “I’m talking to you, didn’t you hear me?” 

Just as Joycelyn was about to speak, she heard footsteps approaching from the door. 

Leah quickly shoved Joycelyn aside, grabbed a thermos, twisted off the cap, and stepped forward to greet someone. 

“Isolde, have some water, I added honey just for you.” Leah said, holding the thermos and personally offering it to Isolde, who was sitting in a wheelchair.

“Okay, okay, I can do it myself.” Isolde, still weak from her recent examination, took a couple of sips. 

Once the medical team helped Isolde onto the bed, everyone let out a collective sigh of relief. 

Joycelyn, also concerned, stepped forward to express her worry 

Seeing Joycelyn move closer, Leah immediately blocked her path, saying, “What’s your position exactly? Isolde is so fragile right now what are you planning to do to her?”

Upon hearing that, Leah’s eyes trembled for two seconds before quickly regaining composure, putting on a surprised yet graceful smile. “You’re Mr. Grant’s wife?” 

Joycelyn nodded slightly. “Yes” 

“Isolde, I brought you some pastries. Ellison mentioned you were having an exam this morning, so I was worried you might not be eating properly,” Joycelyn said, holding up a lunchbox. 

Leah finally noticed the wedding ring on Joycelyn’s left ring finger, 

It was a couple’s ring, the same as Ellison’s. 

Her eyes widened, and she didn’t look away from Joycelyn for a long while. 

“Let me introduce you–this is Dr. Kingston Mason’s sister, Leah said Isolde. 

“Mrs. Grant, hello.” Leah smiled sweetly. “I apologize earlier, I was just worried that Isolde might feel unwell after her checkup, so I acted a bit impolitely. I hope you don’t mind” 

Hearing Leah’s gentle, sweet tone, Joycelyn might have thought she was just a noble, elegant lady, had she not witnessed the cold glare earlier. Her attitude seemed like two completely different extremes. 

“They’re the new doctors Ellison hired for me. They’re both highly skilled practitioners of traditional medicine. My treats my headaches, and Leah helps with massages. The results are pretty good,” Isolde said, holding Joycelyn’s hand, her complexion a little rosier.

Joycelyn couldn’t refuse and said, “Thank you.” 

She took a sip and said, “It’s delicious.”

Leah’s compliments were sweet, and Isolde chuckled happily.

The experienced medical staff nodded in agreement.

As she was about to walk out with the fruit basket, she suddenly Heard Leal call out, “Mr. Grant, Isolde told me you often suffer from headaches and insomnia due to work. Would you like me to give you a massage?” 

“No need.” Ellison responded coldly. 

Leah smiled knowingly and didn’t press the issue further.
