“Your stepsister said he’s a gigolo. When I answered his call for you the other day, he sounded very commanding. He’s somebody, right?” 

Selene recalled answering the call the other day. That person’s cm and authoritative voice still made her heart skip a beat. 

“He’s good–looking, but he’s not a gigolo,” Joycelyn said. “He works very hard.” 

Selene didn’t discriminate based on profession, and she said truthfully, “I’ve heard that selling insurance can make a lot of money if you perform well.” 

She reckoned that with that aura, Joycelyn’s husband was at least the level of a sales manager or sales director as average people would not have that kind of commanding presence. 

“Luckily, when he makes money, he lets me spend it,” Joycelyn sd, not daring to talk more for fear of giving herself away. ‘Fortunately, Selene is straightforward, she thought. She may have sharp eyes, but she did not suspect whether the claim of my husband selling insurance is legit. 

“Great,” Selene said. “Let’s head upstairs.” She linked arms with Jocelyn and walked upstairs. 

After such a long meeting, everyone would probably head back to the office to wrap things up. 

As soon as the two of them came out of the escapeway, they heard a commotion in the corridor. There were not only a woman’s fierce curses, but also cries and screams. 

What’s going on?‘ Joycelyn and Selene thought, looking at each other for a moment. They quickened their pace and craned their necks to look over. 

They saw Octavia being grabbed by a middle–aged woman dressed in expensive clothing, tearing at her blouse and skirt. Judging from the scolding, it seemed like that was Peter’s wife, who had come to catch him in the act. 

“Little bitch, going down the wrong path, huh? How dare you seduce Peter? Bitch, you’re a bitch who lets lots of guys sleep with you. If I don’t put you in deep shit today, I’ll eat my hat.” 

Emily Johnson said, “All of you, come and take a look. This young bitch specifically sleeps with middle–aged men for money. She’s a lowly thing.” 

The plump Emily grabbed Octavia’s hair and slapped her repeatedly, each slap landing loudly on her delicate cheek. Octavia cried until her face was a mess. Her face was slapped so badly that it swelled up, making her face look like a pig’s head. She kept dodging and crying out for help. 

Peter rushed over, wanting to save the damsel in distress, but he was stopped by two tall bodyguards. 

“Stop it!” Peter berated, clearly enraged.

“After all, there are lots of handsome guys and beautiful women in the company. Are they all the leaders lovers?” Joycelyn turned around and faced Peter’s wife. 

These words indeed moved everyone present. After all, this was Grant Group, not a small family business. Moreover, everyone saw that Joycelyn was wearing a wedding ring-
