“Dr. Mason, you didn’t get to drink the coffee that you made just now,” Joycelyn said. “Why don’t I make you some watermelon juice to cool you down?” Her intellectual and warm expression, with a smile, remained completely unaffected by Leah’s attempts to stir up emotions. 

She thought. I’m indeed married to Ellison, but I didn’t lose myself in love. Leah is being too eager and foolish, coming at me with two–faced provocation right off the bat. It’s quite ridiculous. 

“Mrs. Grant, I’m just reminding you out of kindness,” Leah said. “You’re born into an average family. Other than being somewhat good–looking, you have no other strengths. As time passes, even an exceptionally perfect man will get tired of

Joycelyn’s voice was not soft. Ellison, who had just finished washing his hands and was walking over to check on Rocky, overheard it. “What were you guys talking about?” he asked.

“We talked about some things related to improving health,” she said. “If Mrs. Grant wants to prepare to conceive, she needs to take steps ahead of time to ensure her body is in good health. Leah smiled gently, deliberately bringing up this topic again. 

She thought, “If Ellison truly loves her, he definitely wants to have kids. After all, he’s the only son, and with Grant Group being so large, Isolde will naturally care about heirs. If they dont want to have kids, they are just putting on a show 

Joycelyn looked at Leah’s beautiful face. The more she looked at it, the more she found it affected. She smiled and said, “Dr. Mason, why are you scared? Aren’t you just curious why Ellison married me and not another woman? You can ask him yourself.”

“It’s coming soon.‘ Ellison said. “If you’re hungry, have some snack to hold you over.” He held Joycelyn’s hand and walked toward the sink. “Wash your hands. You touched the dog earlier 

“Got it.” Joycelyn obediently squeezed a lot of hand soap and carefully washed her hands. 

Leah was left standing there, looking out of place. 

“After we finish dinner, I’ll make her leave,” Ellison said, standing beside Joycelyn. “I don’t like outsiders in my home.” He was clearly a high–and–mighty CEO, but at this moment, he had transformed into the perfect, devoted husband. 

Joycelyn looked up and glanced at his cold expression. Then, she pursed her lips and smiled. “You’re too charming. Any woman will like you.” 

“What about you?” Ellison lowered his voice and asked in a deep tone, his blue eyes filled with seriousness. 

“L… like you.” Joycelyn nodded. “You’re tall, handsome, and capable. Who wouldn’t like you?”

“Mrs. Grant, you’re really not being sincere,” Ellison said. He was hot angry. Instead, he crossed his arms and patiently stood beside her, watching her wash her hands.
