The crowd dispersed and only Elaina and Jalen were left in front of Nitzan. They looked at each other silently and did not speak.

He glared at Jalen angrily and then smiled at Elaina. “Ella, did Jalen bully you recently? If he dares, just tell me. I will teach him a lesson.”

Elaina forced a smile and then shook her head. “Thank you, Mr. Halton. But I think he won’t bully me. After all, I’m not very familiar with him.”

“You were once a couple! But Jalen was too young back then. He didn’t know that he should cherish you. Now, he regrets it.” Nitzan looked at Jalen as he said this. He was afraid that Elaina would be with others. Otherwise, he wouldn’t say something so shameless.
