After the auction ended, there was a boring social event. Many people were trying to woo Elaina. After all, she was not only Theodore’s sister but also Damon’s student.

If one could be Elaina’s husband, his future would be very promising.

Elaina did not know what these people were planning. She was depressed. After knowing that the painting was bought by Jalen, Elaina was unhappy.

Although Elaina was doing charity, she felt uncomfortable that Jalen got that painting.

Elaina highly doubted whether Jalen was interested in art.

Elaina guessed that Jalen bought it for Marie.

For a moment, Elaina regretted choosing to donate this painting tonight. If Elaina had known it, she would have changed it.

Elaina held her glass and hid in a corner. Looking at Theodore, who was far away in the crowd, Elaina smiled.

Theodore was becoming more and more successful.

Just as Elaina was thinking about this, someone walked up to her. “Hi. I am Marcus Lory. Shall we make friends?”

Elaina looked up at the person and frowned slightly. Marcus was a little fat and ugly.

Especially his eyes, which were staring straight at Elaina, made her feel particularly uncomfortable.

Elaina stood up and said directly, “Sorry, I am not interested.”

With that, Elaina prepared to leave, not wanting to continue talking to Marcus.

Elaina put down the glass in her hand and glanced at the venue. She didn’t see Theodore, who must have been distracted for some reason.

She was not worried about Theodore’s safety. No one would dare to attack him now.

Elaina looked back at Marcus in front of her. She did not panic at all. Instead, she kindly reminded him, “Mr. Lory, I don’t want to make a fuss today. Get your buddies away from me. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being impolite.”
