Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 388

Chapter 388

In the middle of the movie, Estelle looked back to see Magdalen sitting in the last row. Noticing Estelle looking at her, Magdalen raised an eyebrow.

Yvonne, who was sitting in the front row, also kept getting distracted. She finally saw Jonathan. sitting in the back and couldn’t help but feel disappointed. So, she took out her phone and sent him a message, (Why are you sitting in the back?]

Estelle noticed the man’s phone lit up in the corner of her eye.

Jonathan picked up his phone and replied to Yvonne, [I have to make a phone call later. I just didn’t want to disturb you guys.]

Yvonne took a deep breath and replied, [Alright.]

As she waited for his response, no messages came. Suddenly, she no longer felt like watching the

movie.

The film went on for two hours. Jonathan sat next to Estelle and apart from occasionally replying to some messages, he never left his seat.

Yvonne couldn’t help but look back at them from time to time. Seeing that Jonathan and Estelle were just sitting as if they didn’t know each other, Yvonne heaved a sigh of relief thinking she was just overreacting.

Jonathan and Estelle’s social status were truly disparate. It was impossible for anything to happen

between them.

After the movie, the lights came on, and Jonathan left without saying a word.

Estelle couldn’t quite figure out what the man was thinking.

It was getting late, and everyone left Blue Oasis. They said their goodbyes, and Kevin, being a social butterfly, had gotten close to Carson and others. He even created a chat group for everyone to hang out in the future.

Estelle and Magdalen had a few drinks, so Kevin offered to drive them home. Before leaving, Charlie told Estelle, “Let us know in the group chat when you get home!”

Estelle nodded, “Alright, see you, Charlie!”

“Bye!” Charlie waved goodbye as he closed the car door for her.

As the car drove off, Charlie stood next to Jonathan and whispered, “Aren’t you a little envious of me?”

Jonathan glared at him, his expression solemn.

Carson suggested, “Let’s decide where to hang out next time. We can vote in the group

chat.”

As they chatted and laughed, Yvonne spoke up nonchalantly, “Next time, it should just be us. Let’s not include Estelle!”

Everyone went silent, their expressions different from one another.

Yvonne quickly added, “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean anything by it. Estelle is just an ordinary

college student earning her tuition by tutoring. Our gatherings are extravagant, and casual drinks cost a few thousand dollars. While it might not be a big deal for us, Estelle can’t afford that. If she doesn’t pitch in money, she might feel awkward. So, let’s not make her feel uncomfortable.”

She further added, “Actually, I quite like Estelle, but our gatherings just aren’t suitable for her.”

Josiah immediately chimed in, “I think Yvonne has a valid point. We might just end up making Estelle feel uncomfortable.”

Jonathan suddenly spoke up, his tone indifferent, “That’s fine. She’s my tutor. I’ll pay for her

expenses.”

Yvonne caught that he said “my tutor” rather than “our tutor.” Though it seemed like a small distinction, it still felt strange.

Her expression turned cold, and she questioned Jonathan, “Are you saying I’m being petty over money?”

His gaze remained dark, “Then what are you being petty about?”
