“Good morning, Mrs Kingsley,” Ryan said in a husky voice, gently nudging Lora so she could wake up.
“I know I said we won’t go out today, but I want us to have a special breakfast,” Ryan said, leaning down to kiss Lora’s forehead.
“Mmmmm,” Lora moaned, stirring from her sleep. “Let’s eat later, babe. I’m so tired.”
“Oh, baby… I know but you have to wake up. I want us to watch the sunrise together and have breakfast. I promise, we will return to bed soon,” Ryan replied, stroking Lora’s hair.
The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden glow over the villa. Ryan and Lora were still in bed, wrapped in crisp white sheets. They hadn’t slept until a few hours earlier and that was because they couldn’t keep their hands away from each other.
Lora slowly opened her eyes, the beautiful view of the lush tropical paradise coming into her view through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
She could hear the sound of the waterfall as it blended with the chirping of birds in the distance and the rustling of palm trees swaying in the breeze.
She wrapped her leg around Ryan’s waist and asked, “Is the sunrise that beautiful?”
“It is and I want you to see it,” Ryan replied. "I want to watch it with you."
Lora chuckled, thinking Ryan was such a romantic.
Nodding, she sighed and said, “Since my husband wants to watch the sunrise with me, why should I say no?”
“Are you saying you can’t say no to me, Mrs Kingsley?” Ryan asked huskily, arching an eyebrow.
Lora smiled, her heart fluttering at the sound of the name. She responded, “I can’t say no to you, just like you can’t say no to me, Mr Kingsley.”
“That’s right,” Ryan remarked, smirking. He pulled Lora closer, pressing a soft kiss to her lips and said, “I have a lot planned for this trip. I want us to never forget the moments we will share here.”
“And we will,” Lora stated, looking up into Ryan’s eyes. “It being our honeymoon has already made it special.”
…
A little while later, Ryan and Lora were going down the stone path that was carved into the cliffside, hand in hand.
They had just finished watching the sunrise together and now, Ryan was leading Lora down the cliff to have breakfast near the natural pool at the base of the waterfall.
Lora’s eyes widened when they reached the base. The sun was high up now, creating a shimmering pattern on the water’s surface where red and white rose petals were floating. Lora gasped at the breathtaking sight, the clear blue waters calling to her.
On the side of the pool, a wooden table was set up, adorned with a platter of tropical fruits- neatly cut mango, pineapple, papaya and assorted berries. There was also freshly baked bread with a platter of sausages, bacon and eggs. A jug of freshly squeezed juice was resting on a bowl of ice on the side.
“What time did you prepare this, my love?” Lora asked, her stomach fluttering with butterflies.
Ryan wrapped an arm around her waist before leading her towards the table, saying, “I had some help. Do you like it?”
Lora nodded, smiling. “Yes, I do. I love it very much. Thank you, baby.”
