Chapter 33- Marrying Ivy
Ivy’s hands trembled when she looked at the photos in her hands.
Anger and hatred flashed through her eyes as she yelled, “No! No… it can’t bel”
Her eyes were wide with shock as she went through the pictures. After realising she was losing Ryan to Lora, Ivy hired someone to follow Lora so that she could find out something she could use against her.
However, what she received shocked her to the core when she saw photos of Lora with two children by her side.
“Lora has kids?” She whispered to herself.
Gulping air, she went through the photos again and studied the kids‘ faces. The little girl resembled Lora, however, it was the little boy’s face that made Ivy’s heart sink. He looked so much like Ryan Kingsley.
“What’s going on? How could Lora’s child look like Ryan? Unless…”
“No! No, it must just be a coincidence!” Ivy squashed her thoughts immediately. She didn’t want to think of the possibility. However, she couldn’t deny it…. the evidence was right in herface. Both these kids had an uncanny resemblance to Lorr 1 Ryan. Could they be….?
A cold sweat broke out on Ivy’s forehead as a thought occurred to her. Lora looked like Larisa and she also had a son who looked like Ryan.
Could Larisa be alive?
“How is that possible? She died in that explosion!”
Ivy’s stomach churned and her heart raced as a lightbulb went off in her head. What if Lora was Larisa? It would mean these children belonged to Ryan and if he found out….
“They can’t be Ryan’s! I made sure that bitch died six years ago!” Ivy hissed, her eyes flickering with hatred. If Lora was Larisa, then everything she had done all this while to have Ryan would all be for nothing.
The man was slowly becoming distant from her… if what she discovered turned out to be true, then she would lose Ryan forever.
“I can’t let that happen! I need to find out more and if she’s really Larisa, I’ll get rid of her the same way I did six years ago!” Ivy declared to herself.
Ivy took her phone and called her private investigator, need you to investigate the woman in the photo and her kids. Find out everything about her, including who the father of those bastards is.”
Meanwhile, Ryan went back to the Kingsley mansion and had dinner with his family.
“Have you dealt with the scandal well? I want everyone who spoke badly about my late granddaughter–in- law to get sued,” Charles remarked when they settled in the grand living room after dinner.
“Lawrence is working on that, Grandpa. Don’t worry, I won’t be involved in any more scandals that might injure the company,” Ryan replied.

Charles nodded, “Good. You’re efficient as always. No wonder you’re my successor.
Dead silence fell over the room after Charles said that. However, the old man didn’t care, he was disappointed in his son who had no skill for business.
After a few seconds of silence, Celeste Kingsley, Ryan’s stepmother, said, “Ryan, people will always talk but if you had married Ivy earlier, this wouldn’t have happened.”
Celeste Kingsley married Ryan’s father just a few months after his wife died. She had blonde hair with brown eyes that matched her daughter’s. In the living room, she was seated next to her husband, Miles Kingsley. He had dark hair with streaks of gray and he looked like Ryan and a younger version of Charles.
Ryan didn’t respond to Celeste but she didn’t get offended. She traced the rim of her teacup with her fingers as she said, 1 wonder why you keep delaying the wedding, Ryan. Ivy has been so loyal to you. If you had done the right thing and made her your legal wife, the press wouldn’t have had a chance to write articles about the two of you. It’s been six years already since Larisa died, why aren’t you marrying Ivy?”
The air in the room turned frosty at Celeste’s words. Ryan clenched his hands into fists and glared at the woman before saying. “Mind your own business, Celeste ”
“Ryan, mind how you speak to my wife! She is your mother!” Miles scolded his son.
