Hope you in my dream novel Chapter 38

Nancy was trembling with rage. She threw the fruit basket heavily onto the ground and turned around to leave.

The loud noise startled Clark and Rachel in the ward.

"Who is outside?" Rachel asked in surprise.

She stood up, intending to see who it was. But she was stopped by Clark.

"Sit down, let me have a look." Clark said indifferently.

However, when he walked out of the ward, he couldn't help but frown at the messy fruit. He glanced at the end of the corridor, and saw Nancy's figure passing by.

Without hesitation, Clark strode towards her.

When he reached the first floor, he looked around the hall and found Nancy was still there, sulking while she was sitting in the chair.

Standing in front of her, Clark cast a gloomy glance at her.

Nancy raised her head and was surprised to see him.

"Mr. Clark, you...... Why are you here?" Nancy was so excited that she did not know what to say.

With a grim face, Clark asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I..." Nancy was rendered speechless for a while before she said, "I'm here to visit you."

"Great. I have something to talk to you." After that, he sat down beside her, but there was a seat distance between him and Nancy.

Nancy sat up straight and asked in a serious tone, "What do you want to say, Mr. Clark?"

"I recommended you to act in this movie." Clark's tone was cold and indifferent.

"I know. That's why I came here to thank you. But I didn't expect to see..." Nancy explained hurriedly.

But before she could finish her words, Clark interrupted, "If you want to act more in Bob's movies in the future, you have to promise me one more request."

Nancy looked at him in confusion and asked, "What is it?"

"You must please Rachel and make her happy every day," Clark replied flatly.

"Ah? This is your request?" Although Nancy was unwilling to do what Clark said, she had been yearning for this opportunity for a long time and didn't want to give it up for the moment.

Clark nodded and said in a low voice, "Yes. As long as you get along well with her, don't make things difficult for her and make her happy, you will have more opportunities for the next half of the year."

As soon as she heard these words, Nancy nodded and said, "Okay, I promise you!"

She had become a joke recently. Netizens had slandered her harder and harder, and she needed more works to prove herself and save her reputation.

Clark stood up and said in a cold voice, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Let's wait and see whether you can make it."

Then he strode away without looking back.

Seeing Clark had gone for quite a long time, Rachel was confused and asked, "Who did we meet just now? You have gone for quite a long time."

"Just an acquaintance," Clark replied in a calm voice.

Gradually, the wounds on Rachel's body were much better, and only the shank had not fully recovered. She could also try to walk slowly.

It didn't take long for Clark's back to heal.

After staying in the hospital for a long time, Rachel missed the filming crew so much and wanted to go back to work anyway.

Unable to change her mind, Clark had to complete the discharging formalities for her.

He was so worried about her that he drove her to the gate of the filming site.

When Rachel was about to get off, Clark pushed her a wheelchair. She frowned and smiled helplessly. "I don't need a wheelchair. Just take it away, otherwise everyone will think that I really can't walk when they see me."

Clark could not help laughing. He put the wheelchair back to the trunk.

However, Rachel was still staggering. Seeing this, Clark frowned and squatted down in front of her.

"What are you doing?" Rachel asked, looking at him in surprise.

"Come up. Let me carry you on my back," Clark said calmly.
