"After you get home, make sure to take good care of yourself and don't neglect your health," Yanis advised carefully.
Reed nodded in agreement.
Once Allan returned, Yanis left the hospital with Aurora.
"Sister-in-law, could you drop me off at Three Hospital? The doctor over there called this morning and said Maya hasn't been cooperating well for the past couple of days. She's been acting out, probably because I haven't been visiting her much lately."
After doing some work at Stella's place, Aurora had been visiting Maya's side less frequently. Part of the reason was Maya's improved mood and her suggestion that Aurora focus on her work and life, only coming by when necessary. There were specialized medical staff taking care of Maya, so there was no need for Aurora to rush back and forth every day.
Aurora reluctantly agreed, realizing that Yanis had introduced her to this situation and that she should work diligently to not make things difficult for Yanis.
Later on, Stella also had her own matters to attend to, and as a result, Aurora was mainly responsible for the store. Consequently, Aurora didn't visit Three Hospital as often as she used to. It wasn't that she never went; she simply went from visiting three or four times a week to just twice or even once.
While driving, Yanis asked, "How much longer do you think she'll need to stay there?"
"I'm not sure. If she doesn't want to cooperate and get better, she might spend her whole life in there."
In Aurora's opinion, Maya might not even need to stay in the hospital. As long as she cooperated a bit, she would likely improve gradually. However, Maya seemed to prefer to isolate herself from the bustling world and live her life secluded inside.
She considered those inside to be part of her world, while the people outside were not.
Maya was stubborn, and Aurora could only give her space, as pushing her too hard might worsen her condition. The journey from the hospital to Three Hospital took some time, but because it was midday, the roads were relatively empty. Yanis managed to reach Three Hospital in under twenty minutes.
After parking the car, Aurora got out and looked at Yanis. "Sister-in-law, maybe you don't need to come up. You can head back, and I'll go up myself."
Yanis hesitated. "How about I go buy some things and then come up with you? Since I'm already here, I don't have anything urgent to attend to."
Aurora couldn't refuse Yanis, so she simply nodded.
Yanis went to the hospital supermarket and bought some fruits and supplements before accompanying Aurora to Maya's ward.
Due to Zane's influence, Maya had been assigned a private room, and there were specialized medical staff taking care of her.
Upon reaching the door, Aurora appeared nervous. "Sister-in-law, if my mother says something unpleasant later, please don't take it to heart."
Yanis nodded. "Alright, don't worry."
Aurora went inside and discreetly pulled down her sleeve to cover her arm before knocking on the door and entering.
Maya was lying on the bed, gazing out the window in a daze. However, she seemed to pay no attention to Yanis and Aurora's entrance, showing no sign of recognition.
Once Aurora was inside, she placed the items she had brought on the table. "Sister-in-law, please have a seat."
Yanis responded with an acknowledgment.
Aurora walked to the side of the bed, lowered her voice, and called out, "Mom?"
Maya ignored Aurora's attempts to get her attention, her gaze fixed on the window.
Aurora tried calling a few more times, but Maya remained unresponsive. Finally, she shifted her gaze towards Aurora, her eyes intense. Suddenly, she sat up and delivered a resounding slap across Aurora's face.
