Ivan stared at Bonnie for a moment before finally speaking up, "What do you know?"
"I know what I should know and what I shouldn't know," Bonnie replied, pausing for a moment. "It depends on whether you want to talk to me about what I should know or what I shouldn't know."
"When did you start liking tongue twisters?" Ivan looked at Bonnie with a hint of disdain in his eyes.
Bonnie raised an eyebrow. "Want to talk about it?"
"Later," Ivan said, then turned to Bonnie. "How long are you going to stay in the hospital?"
"I'll stay until things stabilize. I'll try not to move for now," Bonnie said.
Ivan was about to say something when Bonnie's phone rang, causing Ivan's words to get stuck on his lips.
"What were you going to say?" Bonnie reached for her phone while looking at Ivan.
"You should answer the call first," Ivan nodded, looking at Bonnie.
Bonnie nodded and glanced at the caller ID before answering the call. "Lawyer Phillips?"
On the other end of the line, Lane's voice came through. "Where is your ward? I'm in the hospital lobby right now."
Bonnie was slightly shocked to hear Lane's voice. "What are you doing at the hospital?"
"I'm here to visit the hospital, and incidentally, to hang out with you," Lane said in a serious tone.
Bonnie couldn't help but laugh at Lane's words. "I'm on the 8th floor, Room 806."
Lane replied, "Alright, see you in a bit."
Bonnie responded, "See you."
After hanging up the phone, Bonnie looked at Ivan. "I have to go for a check-up soon. I'll go ahead, and you can wait for Yanis here. She also needs to do a check-up later. I'll come find you after I'm done."
Ivan looked at Bonnie. "Should I accompany you?"
"No need, it's just a few steps away," Bonnie politely declined Ivan's offer. As she stood up to leave, she paused and turned to face Ivan, who was sitting on the couch. "Ivan, sometimes people around you only know what you're thinking after you say it out loud. Not everyone has magic to guess your thoughts."
Listening to Bonnie's words, Ivan chuckled softly. "You're pregnant now, and your IQ has gone up. It doesn't seem like a sign of being silly for three years."
Bonnie rolled her eyes in response. "Whether you want to listen or not, I'm leaving. Goodbye!"
Ivan held back his laughter. "Take your time."
"Got it. Take advantage of this opportunity. Without me and without Mr. Lawrence disturbing, you can have a good chat. There's nothing that can't be resolved through conversation. It's up to you if you still want to get along well. If not, you can leave now," Bonnie retorted.
Ivan stood up and pushed Bonnie towards the door. "Just go. If you say one more word, I won't be able to resist the urge to punch someone."
Bonnie hummed twice. "You really don't know how to appreciate a good person."
"Go quickly," Ivan guided Bonnie to the door, supporting her to stand steady. "Go!"
Bonnie stuck out her tongue at Ivan before walking away. "You don't appreciate a good person!"
Ivan watched Bonnie walk away before turning back to the hospital room.
When Yanis arrived, Ivan was the only one in the room.
Just now, when there were other people around, it was fine. But now, suddenly, only the two of them remained, and for a moment, they felt a bit awkward and didn't know what to say.
"Where's Bonnie?" Yanis tried to make her tone sound as it used to be.
