“Sir, it might be hard to kill him!”
The middle-aged man who’d made the report suddenly spoke.
“What do you mean by that?” Ollie frowned.
The middle-aged man was named Elias Davis. He was Ollie’s youngest and most trusted son. He was essentially sure to be the one to succeed Ollie’s position.
Elias took out a flash drive and commanded a servant, “Play the recording on this drive!”
Soon, on a huge projector screen, a video began to play.
“Mr. Owen, we’ve already let the people go. Can you release the young master now?”
“I actually don’t want to make enemies of the McGill family, but you just had to barge my way. This is a lesson today. Next time, it won’t end this easily.”
Soon, the scene from the auction at the Dragon Club showed up – the moment when Baron had lifted Trump with one hand.
Seeing that, everyone in the room was stunned.
The son of the McGill family had almost been killed by Baron.
With that, Baron turned to leave, then stopped as he reached the entrance of the auction and picked up a fountain pen.
At that moment, Bill Davis was still alive.
But the next second, a most shocking thing happened.
Baron’s hand fanned out and the fountain pen shot from his hand. The next instant, Bill’s corpse keeled over.
A hubbub rose.
Everyone wore an expression of fear. The video wasn’t the clearest, but they did see Baron fling a pen out of his hand and Bill die right after.
Which proved that Bill really did die from a fountain pen.
The entire room was quiet, and everyone felt Baron’s power.
A moment later, when they’d settled down a little, Elias spoke, “This young man is no small fry. I had him investigated.
“He was a member of one of the eight great families of Donas. A son of the Owen family. Over a dozen years ago, he and his mother were banished from the family. Five years ago, his mother died, and he had private relations with the first beauty of the Perry family.
“Then he entered into military service and disappeared for five whole years, suddenly emerging once again three months ago.
“That’s all I could find out. As for what kind of soldier he was and what he did during those five years, we know nothing.”
Hearing Elias speak, everyone recovered slowly from their earlier shock.
Ollie looked grim. As the head of the Davis family, he knew full well how terrifying a man with such power was.
Baron had killed Bill from over twenty meters away with a fountain pen, proving full well his unnatural ability.
“Elias, I don’t care how much it costs. Find some way to bring me his head today!”
Ollie suddenly said.
Even if he knew how strong Baron was, he couldn’t allow his grandson to be killed so casually.
“Yes, father!”
Elias replied.
In the Davis family, Ollie’s word was law. There was no way for Elias to refuse.
Luckily, Ollie had said that he didn’t care about the expenses.
In that case, the only way forward was to pay for someone extremely powerful.
“Sir, I believe we can go to the McGill family for this. After all, Bill died on their auction.”
Someone got up and spoke.
Ollie frowned and looked at the speaker. “What are your thoughts?”
“Trump and Edith are both sons of the McGill family and saw Bill get killed. They’re responsible. This young man named Baron is a strong opponent. Only an elite family of Jako could possibly kill him.”
