Chapter 1163: Amusement Park Bomb Attack

Swiftly, Chris Shelby spotted a man wearing a duckbill cap stealthily approaching Esther. This chilling presence, he was certain, emanated from the man in the cap-a killer, no doubt. Chris smirked silently; indeed, the members of the Shadow Alliance were relentless. Following a failed attempt to assassinate Esther previously, they had now dispatched another hitman.

As Chris Shelby stood up, Esther and Juliette were completely engrossed in their amusement, oblivious to the looming danger. The cap-wearing man drew near Esther, his lips curving into a sinister smile. Without a moment's hesitation, he pulled out a sharp dagger and lunged it violently towards Esther. She screamed, utterly unprepared for the attack.

Before Esther could react, a figure dashed forward-it was Chris Shelby! He delivered a forceful punch.

The impact resonated powerfully, and the cap-wearing man was sent flying backwards. Chris rushed to Esther's side and asked with concern, "Darling, are you alright?"

Esther shook her head, "I'm fine!" Having experienced an assassination attempt before, she had developed a steeled composure. Although she felt a flicker of fear at the killer's first strike, Chris's presence had brought her an immense sense of security.

Upon his command, Esther and Juliette retreated to the side. The cap-wearing man staggered to his feet, glaring vengefully at Chris Shelby and shouting, "Kid, you dare thwart my plans; you're dead!"

Had it not been for Chris Shelby's sudden intervention, the assassin would have successfully completed his mission. Frustrated and enraged, the man bellowed and charged at Chris, dagger in hand.

Chris Shelby smirked sardonically without uttering a word, meeting the assailant head-on. He delivered a powerful punch that struck the assassin in the chest.

The cap-wearing man screamed in agony as he stumbled backward. Chris quickly closed in, effortlessly seizing the man's neck like lightning.

Chris Shelby, wasting no words, roared angrily and twisted the assassin's neck, instantly killing him. After slaying him, Chris disposed of the body disdainfully, leaving it on the ground like discarded trash.
