Amelia’s anger surged uncontrollably at the sight of Elena being still. 

“Why are you just standing there? Hurry up!” 

“Mom, I’m doing this for you. You want to go abroad, don’t you? Dad’s company has completely halted. If we return these pieces of jewelry, how can I take you abroad?” Elena sobbed. 

As she spoke, she even started crying. Amelia’s anger softened instantly upon hearing Elena’s concern for 

her. 

She felt remorseful as she recalled her earlier frustration and harsh words. 

“I’m sorry. I was just so anxious. 

“Elena, you know I have my pride,” Amelia explained. 

She had never encountered this situation before. The Miller family had even shown up at their house to reclaim everything. Now that the Millers were being ruthless, she simply couldn’t bear it. 

Tears streamed down Elena’s face.

“You’re right. We can’t return these.” 

If they really handed them over, they would have nothing left and would become destitute. Amelia then 

looked worried. 

“But Mr. Rivera is here on behalf of the Millers. What can we do?” 

Elena’s eyes flashed with determination. 

“I have a plan, Mom.” 

“What plan?” Amelia asked in confusion. 

Ryan had abruptly visited their house to reclaim those pieces of jewelry. Amelia wondered how Elena suddenly had a good plan. After all, Elena hadn’t said a word about it earlier. 

Elena remained silent. She went directly to a nearby cabinet and extracted two jewelry boxes. She opened them before Amelia. 

At the sight of identical jewelry in both boxes, Amelia looked at Elena in shock. 

“What is this?” 

Elena explained, “The pieces of jewelry in this box are custom replicas I made a week ago. They look just 

like the real ones.” 

She had begun preparing for this situation when the Miller family’s attitude changed, back when they first mentioned taking back the iterns they had given her. 

It was just that seeing Ryan personally come over earlier had made her uncertain. 

Amella stepped forward and picked up the jewelry from the two boxes to inspect it. It was indeed identical.
