Chapter 6 To Register Our Marriage

Natalia’s eyes widened in disbelief, her brow furrowed with

concern.

“Is this some kind of revenge?” Felix blurted out, his voice tinged with frustration. “Why would you go and marry someone. else?”

He couldn’t believe it. She wouldn’t do something like this, het reassured himself. She had always forgiven him, no matter what he’d done. There was no way she’d just walk out like this.

But Abigail didn’t even spare him a glance. She picked up her bag with quiet determination and headed for the door.

Felix stood frozen, his hands clenched into fists, tension radiating from his rigid stance. Yet, he remained rooted to the

spot.

This was just another one of her games, he kept telling himself. She was merely trying to provoke him, to make him chase after her.

Eventually, she would come crawling back and apologize, just as she always did.

Caroline seized the moment to perform, her voice dripping with insincere regret. “Abigail, don’t blame Felix. Please, just put the suitcase down. You’re upsetting him.”

Natalia frowned but chose to remain silent, dismissing it as mere childish drama.

Caroline clung to Felix’s arm, her voice sweet as honey. “Felix, don’t take it to heart. Abigail didn’t mean it. She just needs to let off some steam. She’ll be back once she’s cooled down.”

Felix’s mind was a jumble of confusion, but before he could respond, his phone buzzed.

As soon as he glimpsed the caller ID, a shiver of unease crept up his spine. He paused for a moment, wrestling with his hesitation before finally answering.

The voice on the other end sliced through the air like a blade.

“Felix! Get back here right now!” Jane’s voice was a near scream. “Look at what your woman has done to our family! She just married another man at your wedding! Is she trying to humiliate us?!”

Felix’s already fragile composure shattered.

His fingers trembled slightly as he forced a growl through clenched teeth. “Who? Who the hell did she marry?”

Before she could finish her tirade, Felix hurled his phone against the wall, shattering the noise into blessed silence.

Caroline flinched at the sudden noise, instinctively drawing closer to Natalia, who remained unsettlingly silent.

Meanwhile, Abigail, unaware of the turmoil she had left in her wake, was pulling her suitcase down the villa’s driveway.

As she passed by, a few onlookers recognized her, their whispers carrying clearly through the air.

“Isn’t that Abigail? I heard Felix dumped her at their wedding. and she just married some random guy right there!”

“Seriously? No wonder the Winchester family disowned her.”

“What kind of man did she even marry? If he’s not as good as Felix, she’s just embarrassed herself.”

The mocking tones pierced the air, but Abigail kept her composure, refusing to let their words affect her.
