Chapter 84 Jealous
When Marcus saw that Anthony even accounted for such details, his expression finally softened.
Abigail wasn’t sure why Anthony gave her two invitations. But it was hard to refuse such a thoughtful gesture, so she accepted them anyway. “Thank you.”
Anthony quickly waved it off, saying, “No need to thank me. Just have fun. That’s all that matters.”
The meal ended on a good note. By the time they stepped out of the restaurant, the city lights had already brightened the evening sky.
Anthony waved them goodbye before heading off in the opposite direction in his car.
Sitting in the car, Abigail stared at the two tickets in her hand, still flattered. She said, “The VIP invitations for Envision Group’s anniversary celebration are always limited. I didn’t expect him to give me two at once. You two must be really close, right?”
Abigail thought, “It wasn’t just the tickets; Anthony had helped us a lot lately. He wouldn’t have done so much if they weren’t close.”

“She’s been paying way too much attention to Anthony today. She even spent the whole time talking to him during the meal.”
Marcus had always considered himself someone above petty jealousy, but now, a sour feeling crept into his chest.
Lowering his head, Marcus replied in a calm tone, “We’re on decent terms, but he’s a bit of a player. Back then, some of the messy relationships he stirred up even caused trouble for me. He feels guilty and tries to make it up by helping out.”
Abigail frowned immediately. The one thing she couldn’t stand was people who treated relationships like a game. Her impression of Anthony soured in an instant. “I see. In that case, we’d better keep our distance from him,” she said.
Abigail thought, “We can return the favor when the time comes, but I’d rather Marcus not spend too much time around someone like Anthony. What if he picks up Anthony’s bad habits?”
“Achoo!” Anthony sneezed abruptly, rubbing his nose in frustration. He thought, “Damn it, who’s talking bad about me? Whoever it is, they’d better hope I don’t find out!”
When Abigail got home, she noticed a package sitting on the doorstep. She turned to Marcus, who was carrying her bag behind her, and asked, “Did you order something?”
Marcus shook his head. “No.”
Finding it odd, Abigail walked over to the package and looked closer. When she saw the brand logo on the box, she raised an

eyebrow, straightened up, and made a call. “Why did you send me more clothes?”
Abigail’s tone was warm and familiar as if she were talking to someone she was very close to. Marcus paused in his tracks, quietly watching her.
Abigail was still on the phone. The person on the other end was Erin, the head of the brand Flor.
Erin replied cheerfully, “The Envision Group anniversary gala is coming up. You’ll probably be attending, right? As our brand’s designer, how could you show up at such an event without something stunning to wear?”
Erin had no idea about Abigail’s true identity. All she knew was that Abigail lived in Claudia and worked on projects linked to Envision Group, so she assumed Abigail would be invited and sent her one of Flor’s gowns.
Abigail’s heart softened as she whispered, “Thank you.”
Abigail knew Erin had done this to boost her and make her look good. After all, no one outside knew she was Flor’s designer. Whether or not she wore one of their dresses wouldn’t affect the brand in the slightest.
Erin chuckled, “No need to thank me just yet. I’m not helping you out of pure goodwill. It’s a win–win collaboration.
“We trust you’ll bring this gown to life. By sending it to you, we’re getting brand exposure in return. Honestly, we’re the ones
