He laughed at her sudden mention of the issue. "Silly girl, have you forgotten who I am? How could a king let an untrustworthy doctor treat him?"

Arabella was temporarily taken aback before a comprehending look crossed her face after brief consideration. "That's true! I’ve heard of doctors cursing their patients in secret while treating them. These curses can drive them insane and make them do the bidding of the caster mindlessly. The mere thought is terrifying!" She even added in a horrified shudder.
