She was finally back.
Once again, she stood before him, close enough to touch. The moment he laid eyes on her, he knew he'd never let her slip away again!
As Selena drifted in and out of sleep, she felt like her back was pressed against a furnace. Something was poking her lower back, making her uncomfortable and restless. Half-asleep, she tried to move away, only to be held tighter, sticky kisses trailing along her neck, coaxing a low moan from her lips.
That's when she knew something was off and snapped her eyes open. Sure enough, that shameless guy was all over her. Seeing her awake didn’t faze him one bit; he just got bolder, pinning her down and locking their fingers beside her face.
He leaned in, kissing her with a mix of passion and tenderness. His sculpted back muscles looked particularly enticing in the dim light, highlighting his striking features with a magnetic allure.
But Selena wasn't in the mood to appreciate his looks; anger flushed her cheeks. She couldn't overpower him, given the sheer difference in their strength. She turned her head to dodge his kisses, and he chuckled softly, unfazed, continuing to kiss the taut line of her neck.
He knew just where her sensitive spots were and teased her intentionally. Selena bit her lip hard to stifle any sounds. She glared at him, her dark eyes blazing with fury.
"Everett, get off!"
She couldn't wrap her head around why he was so fixated on her when he had no shortage of women. He clung to her like an annoying leech.
Everett didn’t seem bothered in the slightest. In fact, he casually reminded her, "Little Mateo just fell asleep; keep it down, don’t wake the kid."
"........."
The audacity of this man.
Everett smirked, his words taking a turn for the cheeky. "Selena, all men are the same. Did you really think Callum would be any different? He’s chasing after you, wanting to be with you, but in the end, he just wants you in his bed. It all leads to the same place."
As soon as he finished, Selena slapped him across the face. Her eyes were blazing with outrage, and she managed to free one of her hands, using all her strength to strike him.
In the stillness of the night, the slap echoed like a clap of thunder.
Everett, used to her slaps, usually brushed them off, but this was the first time she’d hit him because of Callum.
And all he did was speak his mind.
