"That's a relief. If you and the baby are okay, Miss Selena will feel much better. She's been under the weather and juggling so much, she's worried she can't give you and the baby the attention you deserve."

Alexa felt a pang of bitterness. "Selena's been really good to me already."

After a brief pause, she suddenly blurted out, "And Blaine? How's everything over there?"

Holt, having no reason to hold back, answered honestly, "Mrs. Thompson, there's good news from the big boss. He's rooted out the mole, and it looks like the chaos is settling down. He'll probably be back in Newport soon. No need to fret. Once the air is cleared, you and the big boss can patch things up."

With a cheeky wink, she added, "I can tell you still have feelings for the big boss. Maybe this little one can help mend old wounds. We can't live in the past forever, right?"
