Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 26

Kayden nodded. "Oh, so that's how it is!"

"Yes!" Amber nodded and said, "Since I've found Snow Puff, I'll return now. Thank you for helping me find my kitten!"

She was ready to leave after making it clear she had no intention of staying.

Seeing this, Kayden quickly asked, "Where do you live? When your kitten runs away again, you can come to me. I'll help you look for it!"

He genuinely wanted to play with her, but was too shy to say it outright.

Kayden had no siblings and hardly any close friends. Now that he had finally met someone he didn't dislike and who also happened to be such a cute and pretty girl, he didn't want to let her go so easily.

Amber's eyes darted briefly before replying casually, "Let's talk about it next time."

She did not intend to tell him where she lived, even though he was charming and attractive.

Since Brian had previously hurt Charlotte before, there was no guarantee they'd stay in touch in the future.

Soon, Amber walked off with the kitten in her arms.

As Kayden watched her figure disappear, he felt slightly disappointed and sighed.

Brian asked, "What's wrong? Do you like the little girl?"

He found it rather surprising.

Kayden had never gotten close to any child like that before, much less taken the initiative.

Henry added, "That little girl is really beautiful. Her looks match Kayden's!"

Then he gave Kayden a teasing look and asked, "Do you agree with me?"

Kayden shook his head. "It's not that. I just felt close to her. For some reason, I wanted to protect her."

He then looked at Henry. "Henry, I'm only five years old. What are you even thinking?"

"I apologize. That was out of line." Henry laughed.

Brian didn't stop him. Instead, he assured him, "If you like her, go be friends. You'll see her again since we live in the same villa complex."

"Okay." Kayden nodded.
