Mr. Norman, She's Out of Your League Now novel Chapter 28

Brian claimed that a little fox bit him.

So was he calling her a fox?

Charlotte was so furious she laughed.

How dare he call her a fox when he was the sly, cunning fox here!

As she muttered all kinds of curses in her heart, she pulled out a set of acupuncture needles and purposely picked the thickest one.

Henry felt weak in the knees when he saw the long, thick needle.

He couldn't imagine anyone who could handle such a thing entering their body.

Worried it might hurt Brian, he hurriedly asked, "Dr. Mandy, are we really doing it this way? Don't we need medical equipment or something?"

"No." Charlotte didn't even look up.

She figured he must've been worried about Brian's safety, so she added a little explanation. "Modern medicine will not work against treating parasites. If it could, Mr. Norman would've recovered a long time ago and wouldn't need my help to treat him."

"I guess that makes sense." Henry nodded slowly, half convinced.

Brian couldn't see the needle, so he didn't react much. His tone remained calm as he asked, "Do I need to do anything?"

Charlotte watched the needle glint with a sharp sheen and said, "You just have to lie still. Since the parasite is moving in your body, I need to use acupuncture to drive it to a specific area. Ideally, it'll be far from your brain, vital organs, and nerves. That way, it won't cause too much damage to your health. Also, I should warn you that acupuncture can be a little painful. Do you think you can handle that, Mr. Norman?"

Brian's expression was calm.

He had endured all kinds of pain over the years. A few needles were nothing to him.

"Go ahead," he replied calmly.

"Okay." She nodded and promptly began disinfecting the needles.

But just as she was about to begin, she recalled Kayden was still in the room.
