My Assassin's Void Heart novel Chapter 2

"Hey Jax!!" Evalyn called out, she and Fae nearing towards the man standing beside a car. "Another mission?" Jax smiled, putting his phone in his pocket. "You bet old man!" Evalyn winks, as the duo laughs. "So why are you in a company working uniform??" Jax asks, eyeing the duo.

"We'll be disguised as office workers in this mission" Evalyn exclaims. "Hmm..." Jax says, still eyeing them. "You look thick" Jax jokes. "Shut up pervy old man!" Evalyn jokes back. "You guys are noisy. Come on Evie" Fae says in her monotonous voice as she enters the black car.

"Yes ma'am!" Evalyn salutes as she follows Fae to the car. "Hey Jax, tell Zion we'll be going now" Evalyn says as she was about to close the door only to be interrupted by Jax. "About that..." Jax hesitates as he opens the door.

"I'll be riding with you today" Zion's voice was heard as they turn around to see him arrive in front of their car. "Wow... amazing. This seat is open your majesty!" Evalyn gets out of the car and quickly shoves Zion inside.

"Uhm... Eva-". "Nah huh!" Evalyn interrupted. Zion gulped. On his left was Fae, staring at him with her deadpan eyes. "Evalyn you-". "Not this time old man" Evalyn interrupted once more, as she goes inside the car and closes the door afterwards.

The front door opens and Jax goes to the driver's seat, closing the door afterwards. "Now then folks, our trip to the Fathom company shall begin!" Jax exclaims. "Yea! Let's go peeps!!" Evalyn says, setting the mood.

"Evalyn you're dead meat" Zion whispers. "Not with Fae with me" Evalyn grins, sticking her tongue out. "Fae, I'll be punishing Evalyn. Don't protect her if you don't want to be punished" Zion demands. "Yes sir" Fae says in an automatic response. "Nooo!!!" Evalyn whines. "We're having a bit of traffic here folks..." Jax exclaims.
