Vivian had her own aspirations, and she firmly believed that her parents would return one day.
At 10:00 pm, she returned to her dormitory from the lab.
Most of her roommates were already asleep. After washing up, she was about to go to bed when several messages popped up on her phone.
She opened them and saw they were from her Uncle Harvey.
"Do you have time this Saturday? Your grandma misses you. If you're free, I'll pick you up on Saturday, and we can visit her together."
"Take care of yourself. The weather's changing, and it's flu season. A lot of people are getting sick. If you catch a cold, don't stay at school—come home and rest properly."
Her uncle was a rather aloof person, showing warmth only to family members and doting on the younger generation like her. Besides that, he was quite reserved, especially with colleagues.
Over the years, her parents had introduced several potential girlfriends to her uncle, but he seemed to have been hurt by a past relationship and hadn't pursued love since.
He'd even joked with her and her cousins, saying, "You lot will have to look after me when I'm old."
He'd also mentioned that he planned to pass his business on to her since she was the most talented at gaming among the younger generation. The game development company he founded was perfectly suited for her.
When she heard about his plan, she didn't know how to respond. After all, her uncle wasn't that old—wasn't 41 considered the prime of a man's life? Why had he already resigned himself to staying single?
Her grandma's biggest concerns were her and her uncle. Since her parents' disappearance, her uncle had been most worried about her.
After some thought, she replied, "I'm busy on Saturday, but I'll go to Grandma's on Sunday by myself. Don't let me interfere with your personal time, Uncle Harvey. I heard there's a beautiful lady chasing after you. Is it true?"

More chapters please...
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
