My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 101

Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 101 – Is This What You Like?

Janet said, “If It wasn’t for fearing that Grandpa would be worried, I really want to punch you in the face.”

She looked at Nathaniel angrily and said. “How did I offend you? Why did you find fault with me for everything? We are already divorced. Don’t you understand what divorce means?”

Just biting Nathaniel was obviously not enough to release the anger and resentment in her heart. She let go of his arm and distanced herself from him.

With a bit of accusation in her eyes, Janet stared fiercely at the man in front of her.

Since he felt that she was heinous, why did he appear in front of her frequently?

Wouldn’t it be embarrassing for her, but also for himself?

Janet’s appearance at that moment was like a cat with anger.

Nathaniel suddenly felt a little sorry.

But he thought of her talking and laughing with Orville. Besides, she couldn’t wait to date another man after the divorce, and at the same time, she kept saying that she married him because she liked him.

Thinking of that, Nathaniel felt very irritated.

Nathaniel’s face was gloomy, and he stared at Janet tightly. “Am I looking for trouble with you? Isn’t it you that once you divorced me, you went shopping with the guy and even used power to suppress others? I’m trying to save your reputation but also to protect my reputation.”

Janet sneered, and thought that Nathaniel was really ridiculous.

Janet said, “Your reputation? We are already divorced, and no one knows that I am your ex-wife. How can I lose your face? You are protecting a woman who really shamed you now.”

Ridiculous!

She and Nathaniel had already divorced, but he unexpectedly wanted to control her life.

Maybe because Nathaniel felt the sarcasm on Janet’s face was really dazzling, he got close to Janet directly, and said. “It is true that we are divorced. But no matter what, for your sake. I think you should choose a comparable man like me, right?”

Nathaniel continued. “The Southey Group in Raleigh can only be regarded as above-average. He can’t protect you at all, and he can’t give you and the Longfellow Group any help.”

Hearing what Nathaniel said, Janet’s eyes became colder and colder.

Janet thought, “What did he mean?”

“Am I a mercenary in his heart?”

“Does he think that I make friends with anyone just because others are useful to me?”

Hhhh…

Janet thought, “That’s right. Nathaniel Winifred and Quintina all think that I married Nathaniel just because of his money, and he was

useful to me.”

There was little common ground for understanding between persons of different principles.

The reasons were different, so it was best not to talk!

Janet was annoyed and retorted, “Mr. Webster, you don’t understand me. I like this kind of little guy now. I have money, and I am willing to

give it to him. I love such a young, energetic man who does whatever I say.”

She continued, “Even if he has no money or strength, he is better than you!”

Every word she sald was thorny. It could be said that after she divorced Nathaniel, she never had a proper conversation with him.
