My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 108

Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 108 – He Didn’t Want to Let Her Go

What he knew about the miscarriage back then was different from what Janet said. Janet’s sadness didn’t look like a fake, nor did her mother seem to be lying.

What went wrong?

His eyes darkened suddenly, and he felt that Alfred should be urged to work efficiently!

But inexplicably, he was looking forward to the result, and there was a trace of indescribable resistance. If the pregnancy and miscarriage were true, then the harm to Janet, he…

Gilbert’s words echoed in his ears.

Kneeling to apologize, kowtow to repent.

Thinking of this, Nathaniel’s face was terribly gloomy.

Seeing the man’s gloomy expression, Gilbert smiled in his heart, he clearly cared about her.

This was obviously love without knowing it!

As a brother, he couldn’t watch Nathaniel’s road get narrower and narrower and continued to deceive himself like this. If she was with someone else, it was too late for him to regret it.

Find a way to help them get back together!

After drinking for three rounds, Nathaniel grabbed his coat and tie from the sofa, took his car keys and went home.

“I go home.”

Originally, today was to accompany Nathaniel but he was about to leave, and Gilbert was also leaving.

Nathaniel drank a lot of alcohol and was a little too drunk to drive, so he called for a substitute driver.

Ten minutes later, the driver arrived.

Without saying a word, he threw the car keys to the valet driver, and got into the back seat by himself. Feeling a little tired, he unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, rolled down the car window to breathe, and leaned on the soft leather seat to close his eyes. Eyes repose.

“Sir, have you just finished the dinner party?”

The surrogate driver was a middle-aged man, and he started to talk to Nathaniel as soon as he sat in the driver’s seat, but he didn’t want to pay much attention to it.

Seeing that he didn’t want to talk much, the driver was about to drive, when the phone rang.

The surrogate driver glanced at the phone, feeling rather embarrassed, then turned his head to Nathaniel and said, “Sorry, sir, can I answer my wife’s phone first?”

Nathaniel opened his eyes, staring at him with a pair of black eyes as deep as the night, obviously displeased, but he still let him pick it up.

“Hey, wife, what’s the matter?” The middle-aged man connected the phone and turned on the speakerphone. There was a smile on his simple and honest lace, and his tone was higher than belore. He was obviously in a good mood.

With this release, it was Inevitable that Nathaniel could hear the conversation between the two.

The female voice on the opposite side was very gentle, “Darling, when are you going home?”

The middle-aged man happily said to his wile. “I just took an order, and I will go back after finishing this order. Go to bed early, don’t stay up late waiting for me.”

The woman responded and said softly, “Ok, go home early after you finish your work, pay attention to the road, and don’t drive too fast.

There is soup in the pot for you, and you can drink some when you go home. It’s good for health.”

The woman’s words made Nathaniel’s thoughts a little wandering, maybe it was the effect of alcohol, and he couldn’t help but recall the

past when he and Janet got along.

During the three years of being husband and wife with her, he often came home late, sometimes because of social engagements, and sometimes he just didn’t want to go home and face her.
