Chapter 147 Come to My Room
Inside the car.
Janet was a little absent–minded, so much so that she only reacted after Nigel called her a few times.
“Um, what’s wrong?”
Nigel sighed. “Jill, you can even be distracted around a handsome man like me. You make me feel frustrated…”
Janet chuckled, “Alright, sorry.”
Hearing that, Nigel scratched his head.
“Don’t apologize. Jill, are you sure you want to participate in tomorrow’s bidding?”
“I’ve made a lot of preparations. Don’t worry. I won’t lose.” Janet nodded firmly.
“Alas, I really want to leak some information to you.”
“Stop. I don’t want to participate in unfair competition.” Janet quickly stopped him.
“Of course, I know that. I was just kidding.” Nigel curled his lips and suddenly thought of something. “Oh right, are you planning to participate in the Intemational Hacking Competition next month?” he asked.
“Why are you suddenly asking this?” Janet froze before asking.
She was indeed interested in participating in the competition, but this time, she still planned to do it in the name of the company and try not to expose her identity.
“I’m just asking. If you participate in the competition, I won’t go. If I lose to you again, I will be embarrassed! Do you know how much a man cares about this kind of thing?” Nigel complained.
“Don’t you want to beat me this time?” Janet couldn’t help but laugh.
“I want to, but I might not be able to do it.” Nigel was a little depressed.
He only admired Janet sincerely. After a long time, his admiration turned into affection.
He regretted not realizing how he felt about her sooner. That way, Jill wouldn’t have been hurt by that jerk Nathaniel
But now, he had to be careful People who had been injured couldn’t start over so easily, and he couldn’t scare her.
“I will participate in the competition, but… I should remain anonymous as before.”
Nigel’s eyes lit up.
Since Janet was willing to participate in the competition, it meant she was slowly letting go of her past and recovering herself. This was
the best way.
“That’s great! This year’s International Hacking Competition is going to be interesting! The retum of a genius hacker will cause an intense
discussion!”
Janet smiled but did not speak.
When the car arrived at the entrance of the hotel, Nigel helped Janet get out of the car.
When he saw the entrance of the hotel, he frowned. Although the hotel was fancy, it was not as comfortable as his house.
“Jill, why don’t you stop living in the hotel? I have an empty villa here. It is very close to the downtown area, and it is much more comfortable than the hotel, Nigel suggested.
“I don’t want to trouble you. I think the hotel is good enough. I’ve arrived. You should go back and rest. I’ll get Marco to drive you,” Janet
smiled and rejected his suggestion.
Nigel knew she was stubborn, so he didn’t mention his villa again.
He shook his head and said with a smile, “Don’t rush to chase me away. I haven’t seen you for so long. I want to stay with you for a while longer.”
“It’s not like I’ll disappear tomorrow,” Janet said helplessly as she draped her coat over her shoulders.
