Chapter 151 Leave Her Alone!
“Mr. Webster, please think twice. The hotel surveillance cameras are recording this. If you punch me, I guarantee all the media will know about it in less than two hours.”
Nigel was fearless as he looked Nathaniel in the eye.
The Webster family valued their reputation the most, and with the Webster Group, any negative information could cause the stock price to
fluctuate.
Nathaniel clenched his fists, making cracks. In the end, he didn’t punch Nigel.
With a dark face, he warned Nigel “Stop fantasizing. Janet doesn’t belong to you. Stay away from her!”
“It’s you she should stay away from. Jill doesn’t want to talk to you, and she wants to be with me. Mr. Webster, please stop interfering with her life and take care of yourself.” There was ridicule in Nigel’s eyes.
With that, Nigel left the hotel.
Noticing Nathaniel clenching his fists so tightly and the veins on his arms bulging, Anastasia couldn’t help but lean forward to comfort him in a low voice.
“Nathaniel.. Don’t be like this. It’s not worth it.”
She tried to relax his hands, but it was futile. She held his hand, looking like she understood him. Then she whispered in his ear.
“No matter what, you still have me…”
Before she could make another move, Nathaniel pulled his hand out, his expression indifferent.
“You shouldn’t have come here. Leave now.”
Nathaniel was in a bad mood. He had to be prepared for tomorrow’s software auction and couldn’t help worrying about Janet, which made him even more impatient with Anastasia.
Anastasia knew he was displeased, so she carefully pulled his sleeve with a hint of coquetry and grievance.
“Nathaniel I just came here, but you want to drive me away? I came all the way here just to see you…”
Nathaniel pulled out his sleeve, but his expression eased a little when he saw her aggrieved look.
Janet upset him, but it had nothing to do with Anastasia, so he shouldn’t vent his anger on Anastasia.
“I’m sorry.”
Nathaniel rubbed the space between his eyebrows, feeling a headache. He began to think about how to settle Anastasia. It was not
suitable for him to be alone with Anastasia.
Anastasia knew Nathaniel was only grateful that she had saved his life. She did not dare to go overboard and could only try to look pity.
“Nathaniel, I’m hungry… I didn’t eat anything on the plane today. I came to find you when I got off the plane. I’m so hungry now. You will
take care of me, right?”
Nathaniel frowned imperceptibly. She made it sound like it was his responsibility to look after her.
He took another look at the tightly closed door of Janet’s room and said, “Let’s go.”
Anastasia was overjoyed. She quickly raised her voice, trying her best to let Janet, who was in the room, hear her.
“I knew you cared about me! Nathaniel, I found the king crabs of this restaurant fresh, and it is your favorite. You said you were willing to peel king crabs for me for a lifetime…”
*Anastasia.”
Nathaniel called her name without any emotion, Obviously, he didn’t want to hear her continue, and there was a hint of impatience between
his eyebrows.
“Don’t mention the past anymore.”
Anastasia was not discouraged. She smiled and said. “Okay, then we will focus on the future and forget about the past.”
Janet sensed the undertone.
Janet wondered why this high–end hotel in Austin was not soundproof or if it was because Anastasia had a loud voice.
Janet didn’t know, but what she was sure of was that Anastasia had said it for her to hear.
Nathaniel’s response meant they should forget about the past and move on.
Janet agreed. They were not a good match, so Nathaniel should leave Janet alone.
