My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 224

Chapter 224 Not Push Him Away!

Nigel subconsciously stood in front of Janet.

With a faint smile on his handsome face, Nigel looked at Nathaniel, who looked aggressive, and curled his

lips. “Mr. Webster, what a coincidence!”

Despite the words, Nigel was not surprised at all.

He had known who it was when someone asked about the opposite villa.

Nathaniel looked at Nigel coldly, his face livid with veins standing out on his forehead.

He gritted his teeth and said in a low voice, “Get lost!”

“Mr. Webster, why are you so angry? Did you move here because you didn’t live comfortably in the hotel?”

Nigel smiled, whose calm expression made Nathaniel angrier.

Nathaniel looked at Janet behind Nigel, her expression cold.

After a long time, he suppressed his sadness and asked word by word, “Janet, are you…”

He wondered, are you together now?

But Nathaniel didn’t ask the question in the end.

He had a sense of despair.

He didn’t know what happened to him and why he cared so much about Janet.

Janet looked at Nathaniel coldly and revealed a mocking smile after a long while. “When did you like to stick.

your nose into other people’s affairs, Mr. Webster?”

In the sunlight, Janet’s beautiful face was cold, which hurt Nathaniel’s heart.

He wondered why Janet dared to be with someone else…

He didn’t allow this to happen!

Nathaniel walked past Nigel and wanted to grab Janet’s wrist. “Go with me…”

But before he finished speaking, a few tall and strong men who wore sunglasses in black suddenly appeared

behind the villa. They rushed forward and surrounded Janet.

She looked at Nathaniel indifferently and took a step back with a calm expression.

“Do you want to take me away by force?” Janet glanced at the men beside herself, who were all sent by Donahue and Beacher. As long as she gave the order, Nathaniel couldn’t leave here safe and sound.

But Nathaniel’s power couldn’t be underestimated. If she provoked the Webster family at this time, it would

only cause trouble for Donahue and Beacher.

Alfred stood behind Nathaniel. His face changed slightly, and he took out his phone to send a message.

Soon, a black car stopped by the roadside. The bodyguards of the Webster family got out of the car one after

another and stood behind Nathaniel.

The atmosphere suddenly became tense.

The passers-by all looked at them strangely.

But Nathaniel didn’t seem to notice it and only looked at Janet in a daze.

He didn’t know when she no longer looked at him with loving eyes…

There was only indifference in her eyes now!

“Mr. Webster, it’s better not to do something annoying in public,” Nigel said, looking at Nathaniel playfully.

Nathaniel retorted, “The annoying one is you!”

“Is that so?” Nigel raised his eyebrows slightly and turned to look at Janet, saying in a gentle tone, “Janet,

we’re going to have dinner together. Did you forget?”

Janet expressionlessly glanced at Nathaniel’s face, her red lips curling into a cold sneer. “Mr. Webster, we

have something to do and have to go now.”

After saying this, she turned around and left. The fallen leaves touched the edge of her fluttering dress, but

she mercilessly threw them away and stepped on them.

The bodyguards behind her also followed her away.

More than half of the people standing in front of the villa left in an instant. Nathaniel, who was left behind,

looked like a dead leaf on the ground.

He stood still, his blue-veined hands hanging at his sides. But his ferocious look was soon replaced by a

frustrated one.

Alfred stood behind him, not daring to go forward to ask anything.

After a long time, Nathaniel turned around indifferently and went back to the villa with his usual cold face.

Alfred hurriedly followed him with the other men.

Obviously, Nathaniel had no intention of leaving and just went upstairs to do his work.

It seemed he wanted to use work to make himself feel better. Nathaniel was silent, and his expression was

as indifferent and calm as usual. But his depression deterred anyone who wanted to approach him.

Alfred carefully handed the document to him. “Mr. Webster, how about I go find where they are eating?”

“No.”

Nathaniel’s tone was cold and stern.

He thought, what’s the need to investigate it?

Can’t it be clear enough?

Janet clearly didn’t want to see him and considered him annoying.

If he went to her again, it would be a humiliation for him!

Nathaniel did his work mechanically and told himself not to care about it over and over again.

But Alfred saw it clearly at the side. Nathaniel turned to look out of the window from time to time, looking in the direction of the villa opposite.

Every time he looked over, his face darkened more.

As time went by, Nathaniel almost finished his work with high efficiency and was having the last video

meeting.

Alfred looked at the time and wanted to remind Nathaniel to eat, but he didn’t dare to speak rashly.

Suddenly, Alfred glanced out of the window and saw a car parked at the door of the villa.

He quickly looked over and saw Nigel and Janet getting out of the car and entering the villa together.

He thought, they’re back!

Alfred was overjoyed.

But he soon felt uneasy again when seeing the look in Nathaniel’s eyes.
