Chapter 229 So Terrifying
Janet tried to hold her laughter.
“Alright, alright, let’s get down to business,” Janet said seriously.
She glanced at Melissa and raised the corner of her eyes. Then, she poked Melissa’s face with the tip of her finger. “Don’t gossip about your boss. Get to work.”
Melissa stuck out her tongue and went to her seat.
Before they came, they had already discussed tactics with Marco. In addition, they were all outstanding
people among their peers. Their skills were excellent. They knew Janet’s skills were good, but they were not
afraid.
But soon, they knew how capable Janet was.
In three or four hours, Janet led them to do high-intensity question-solving tactics without even drinking
water.
Melissa, the most outstanding and most intelligent person among them, felt her eyes sour. But Janet was
still fine.
“Melissa, you are good at quantum calculation programming, but you still have to be fast. In three hours of the competition, you have to leave at least forty minutes to check. You and Lincoln are in the same group.
Lincoln is careful. You solve the questions, and Lincoln does the examination.”
Janet said quickly. She found a quantum computer simulation question and pushed it in front of Melissa. “Do
it on the spot. I will give you thirty minutes.”
Melissa widened her eyes when she heard this. “Thirty minutes?”
One had to know that there were three questions in the competition. It could cost more than an hour to solve
one question. How could it be solved in thirty minutes?
“Yes, thirty minutes.” Janet raised her eyebrows.
She could finish this question with her eyes closed for twenty minutes. It could not be any simpler.
Melissa cried, “Ms. Longfellow, I really can’t do it… Will you cut my salary if I cannot finish?”
“No.” Janet couldn’t help but laugh.
As she said that, she showed the question to the other three people, “You guys do it, too. The one who uses
the shortest time and is the most accurate wins a bonus.
Hearing the word bonuses, everyone became alert again and turned their attention back to the computer.
Thirty minutes passed quickly.
Melissa completed it first. As expected, the correct rate was the highest, but there were still many mistakes.
It was due to the time limit.
Get Bonus
Janet looked at it and transferred Melissa a big bonus from her phone on the spot. Then she commented, “The speed is good, and the correct rate is higher than I thought. However, it still needs to be improved. I hope you all can perform better in the competition.”
As she spoke, Janet sat in front of the empty computer. “Come, I will show you.”
Then, Janet focused on the computer screen, and her slender fingers typed the keyboard quickly.
“Melissa didn’t pay attention to the computer screen but to Janet’s face.
After a while, Melissa stood behind Janet and secretly took out her phone. She clicked on an online chat
group called Curious House.
Melissa: “Damn. Ms. Longfellow is so beautiful. I really want to hug and kiss her!”
Lincoln: “You are so sick!”
Ruby: “To tell you the truth, I also want to do that.”
Miguel: “Forget whether she is beautiful or not. Guys, can you still hold on? My eyes are really sore.”
Melissa: “Rubbish.”
Lincoln: “Rubbish.”
Ruby: “Rubbish.”
Miguel: “What?”
They chatted enthusiastically in the group. Finally, Ruby discovered that ten minutes had passed, and Janet
had already completed more than half of the quantum calculation problem.
Ruby: “Wait, look…”
They looked at the computer screen and gasped in unison.
Not only did Janet finish the questions quickly, but she didn’t mak
any mistakes so far.
Lincoln: “Well, I admit that I am rubbish. But is she a human? She is a computer. The computer in front of her
is just a tool for her to cover up…”
Melissa: “It’s really scary. We have been working for almost four hours. It’s even longer than a match. Ms. Longfellow can actually make no mistakes…”
Ruby: “So terrifying.”
Miguel: “What’s the point of us participating in the competition? Seeing her like this, I won’t be surprised if
she could split up into three to participate.”
The other three all agreed.
Almost at the last second of twenty minutes, Janet knocked on the last empty key and completed the
question.
