Chapter 266 Two Reports
After chatting with Janet for a while, Beacher went out and called Marvin.
Marvin disagreed with Janet’s plan. He came to Janet not long after.
It was rare for Marvin to wear a gloomy expression when facing Janet. He said, “You can’t leave. Donahue told me that you need to have dressing changes every day. You’d better stay here until you are fully recovered.*
Janet sat upright and looked at Marvin and Beacher seriously. “I’m much better now. I asked the doctor. I can take a plane. Besides, i should at least stay here for a year if I want to recover completely. What about the
Longfellow Group? Can you manage it for me?”
They looked at each other in dismay. They were not interested in business at all. Otherwise, Donahue would have already asked them to work in the Smedley Group. How could they have the chance to develop their careers in
other industries?
Janet observed their expressions and said in a more serious voice deliberately, “My father valued the Longfellow Group deeply. It’s the only
thing he left me.”
Marvin coughed lightly and raised his eyebrows as he glared at her. “Stop! Although the Longfellow Group is important, your father and the others are concerned about your health the most!”
Janet looked at Marvin without a word. Her eyes suddenly became watery, and her nose was red. She looked pitiful.
Marvin was dumbfounded.
His pupils dilated, and his mind went blank.
Even though he knew that Janet acted like this on purpose, he couldn’t help

but panic.
“Alright, I agree!*
Marvin hurriedly took a tissue from the bedside table to wipe her tears. “You
can go back as you wish. I’ll listen to you.”
“It’s late today. You at least have to wait till tomorrow. You can take a private
plane to go back safely.”
Janet quickly stopped crying. “Okay, that’s the deal. I want to leave
tomorrow.”
Marvin found it unbelievable.
He walked out of the ward in disbelief.
Beacher, who had left earlier, played games at the corner of the stairs. Seeing Marvin come out, he put away his phone. “How is it?”
Marvin shook his head weakly. “I failed. We have to resort to another plan…”
At night, Janet, Marvin, and Beacher had dinner together in the ward. Since Ernest was going to return home tomorrow, he joined them as well.
Janet’s ward was a suite, and there was a kitchen inside. The nutritionist brought by Donahue had made a lot of delicious food for them. All of them
were satisfied with the dinner.
Halfway through the meal, Janet’s phone suddenly rang.
As soon as she took it up, she changed her expression and threw it on the
table.
Donahue’s name was on the screen.
She subconsciously looked at Marvin and Beacher.

They put on innocent expressions.
Janet gritted her teeth and glared at them.
She could leave the next day. How could Donahue call her suddenly? Marvin
