Chapter 270 Nathaniel Finds Out
After drawing a few drafts, Janet looked at the messy lines that did not lose any sense of beauty. Last night, she had been holding it in for a long time
when she wrote her essay. Her mood was finally better.
The servant and the nurse went in and out a few times. Seeing that she was
sitting and drawing things, they could not help but remind her to rest more.
Janet nodded and continued to look at the pictures.
She had always been confident in her work, but looking at it now, she felt that,
something was missing.
It was noon. Janet thought of something and called Donahue.
The moment the phone was dialed, she regretted it.
Donahue was now in England. According to the time difference, it was
already nighttime to rest there.
However, before she hung up, Donahue had already picked up.
“Have you finished writing your essay of personal reflection?” As soon as the call was connected, Donahue asked about the essay.
“I didn’t mean to say this!” Janet was immediately full of resentment.
Donahue chuckled and temporarily let her go. “Then why did you call?”
Janet snorted and tapped the tip of her pen on the paper. She asked proudly, “Nothing. I just wanted to ask you what kind of flowers you like.”
Donahue did not understand, but he used to spoil Janet. He answered
subconsciously, “Epiphyllum.”
Janet chuckled, “I got it! I’ll hang up first!”

If she didn’t hang up, he would ask about the essay, and she couldn’t explain.
But Janet was a step late…
“What’s the hurry?” Donahue’s cold voice came. “Have you finished your
essay of personal reflection?”
Janet didn’t answer him.
A moment later, she rolled her eyes and came up with an idea.
She took the phone away and said loudly, “Hello? What? I … can’t… hear…
you…”
After she finished speaking, she took a deep breath and hung up the phone.
Donahue shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
He turned to look at their group chat. Marvin sent a photo, and a smile
appeared on Donahue’s cold face.
In the photo, Janet was biting the tip of the pen and frowning. Her face was full of worry. She hadn’t changed at all when she was a child.
Janet was afraid that Donahue would call her again, so she selected a mode
to avoid being disturbed.
She was determined to get the first design draft done today.
After making up her mind, Janet calmed down and began to modify the
design.
Janet added the elements of the epiphyllum to the design draft.
She was going to design a brooch for Donahue and a bracelet for her future
sister–in–law.
Although she didn’t know what elements her future sister–in–law liked, she
wouldn’t make a mistake if she used what Donahue liked.
Janet became more and more energetic, almost to the point of nitpicking.
At the same time, on Nathaniel’s side.
“When we were in the country, the background of the people who kidnapped
Ms. Longfellow was found,” Alfred hesitated to speak, looking at Nathaniel
uneasily.
Seeing him like this, Nathaniel couldn’t help frowning slightly.
