Chapter 294 You Ask for It
Conrad’s heart skipped a beat, and a smile appeared on his face.
He rubbed his hands, held his joy back, and laughed fawningly, “I knew that you are the best. Don’t worry. I will not let you down!
“The entire Longfellow Group will be ours. I will let everyone know that you are the only hostess of the company.”
His eyes were filled with deep love. His look made Mathilda feel extremely disgusted. She tightened her hand on one side and maintained her sweet smile. However, deep disgust flashed through the depths of her beautiful eyes.
Conrad looked at her smile and felt a little uncomfortable.
These days, Mathilda had never mentioned what happened that night. It was as if she had forgiven him.
He always felt uneasy.
But he couldn’t ask her…
Conrad’s eyes turned slightly, and then he changed to a vexed expression. He lowered his voice and said, “Honey, about what happened before…”
Mathilda raised her eyebrows and interrupted Conrad, “What is it? What do you want to say?”
“That night…” Conrad looked at her with sincerity. He looked distressed. “No matter whether you believe me or not, I want to tell you that you are the only one in my heart. I will never do anything to betray you.”
Mathilda raised her eyes and glanced at him. “I know. I don’t think you have the audacity to do that.”
Her attitude was no different from usual. Conrad was relieved.
He thought maybe he was thinking too much.
Mathilda was not that smart.
It was probably the last time when Janet suddenly appeared when he was about to succeed, which left him a complex
about it.
After a long sigh of relief, Conrad was a little relieved.
There came the sound of cars. He checked the time and found his guests were almost here. Conrad dusted off his clothes and prepared to go out to welcome the guests.
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his sleeve.
It was Mathilda. She helped him with his tic. She lowered her eyes and asked, “Do you have anything to tell me?”
Then the sound of footsteps sounded outside, mixed with the laughter of the guests. Conrad’s attention was completely attracted.

He pulled Mathilda’s hand away and said perfunctorily as he walked out, “No, honey, the guests are here. Let’s
welcome them!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Conrad disappeared from the door.
Mathilda stood at the back, watching Conrad welcome the guests with a flash of resentment in her eyes.
Oh, Conrad…
You asked for it!
