Chapter 364 That Was Also His Baby
Quintina screamed and ducked around, breaking Janet’s shackles like a
madman.
The door at the end of the stairwell was quickly pushed open.
Janet’s wrists were also quickly and gently held.
Her eyes were red as she turned around.
She saw Donahue controlling her with one hand. He looked at her deeply, his eyes like the sea.
“Donahue…”
Janet’s voice trembled softly.
She suppressed the endless aggression. Her eyes were blank, yet they seemed
to be filled with sadness.
Donahue felt his heart being clutched and ached for her.
“Good girl.”
Donahue’s voice was extremely low. He lifted his hand to stroke the top of
Janet’s head soothingly.
“Today is important to you, and the reporters outside haven’t left yet. If you want to teach her a lesson, wait for another day. I’ll take the shot, and you
don’t have to do it yourself.”
As the man’s words ended, the door behind him was once again pushed open, and several black–clad bodyguards came in quickly.
The Smedley family’s bodyguards stood behind Donahue with their hands behind their backs. They stared at Quintina viciously, as if they wanted to eat
her.
Quintina’s face was a little swollen, and she was shaking with fear.
As if tugging at her last hope, she grabbed Donahueiel’s arm.
“Donahueiel, help me! You can’t watch them take me away, can you?
Donahueiel…”
Donahueiel’s gloomy eyes remained on Janet.
He could feel Janet’s aggression and long–suppressed pain.
That pain flowed in Janet’s eyes but eroded into him.
If it weren’t for Quintina….
They would have a healthy child today.
That child would be three years old. They would have given him all the love
and a wonderful family….
“Donahueiel! Say something!!!”
Quintina’s frightened plea interrupted Donahueiel’s thoughts.
He lowered his eyes and looked at Quintina as if she were looking at garbage.
Janet’s ruthless voice rang in his ears.
“Donahueiel, I’m warning you, if you defend her, I’ll make sure she pays for my baby’s life!”
Donahue looked at them wordlessly and stood beside Janet, giving her his
utmost support.
Donahueiel couldn’t help but smile bitterly. What did Donahue and Janet take
him for?
It was also his child, his first child…
His exhaustion and disgust had reached its peak.
He didn’t even want to handle Quintina himself, because he wasn’t the biggest
victim.
Because he was not the one who suffered the most.
Donahueiel stared into Quintina’s frightened eyes and broke free of her hand.
A scene from his early childhood flashed through his mind.
His mother had neglected him, and his father had been harsh with him. Also,
he remembered Quintina’s smug face when she was nestling in her parents‘ arms, facing his punishment in childhood.
“Quintina.”
Donahueiel finally said, his voice indifferent, “That’s my child.”
“From childhood, because of our mother, I have covered up a lot of things for

you. But a mistake is a mistake. You should be taught a lesson. You deserve it.”
Hearing his words, Donahue and Janet looked at Donahueiel in unison.
Quintina trembled, her eyes filled with tears.
She looked at Donahueiel in shock and panic and hissed…
“Donahuciel! Don’t you care about me anymore…”
“Don’t go.” Donahue stopped them coldly. “Jill has suffered so much, and it’s
you don’t mind either, do you?”
Donahuciel didn’t answer. His head hurt like being stabbed by needles. The emotion of resentment repeatedly tore at the nerves in his head.
Violet, who was worried, didn’t hold back and went up to Donahue to remind him in a low voice, “Mr. Smedley, Ms. Longfellow is unstable now. If she goes alone, what if something happens…”
