Chapter 407 Pursuing a Handsome Young Man
A casual voice came, and the door of the conference room was opened. Janet walked in,
surrounded by her subordinates.
Janet stood still at the other end of the conference table. All the shareholders subconsciously turned to her, leaving Dereion alone.
Just a condescending glance from Janet made people feel a sense of surrender, and the meeting room fell silent for an instant.
“Who are you calling a dog?”
Dereion gritted his teeth. His face turned
green.
Janet lightly raised her hand and put the hair behind her ear.
“Isn’t it? I remember that dogs like to pee on telephone poles to make marks, and they will enclose territory wherever they go. It’s the same as you, Mr. Doherty.”
“You!”
Dereion was furious, “Stop the nonsense. I got that land. It’s under my control. Nobody can do anything about it.”
Janet looked calm. But the pressure she brought made nobody dare to resist.
“Tell me, Mr. Doherty. You are under investigation. What right do you have to control the lands the Longfellow Group has?”
Dereion snorted arrogantly, “Janet, don’t be complacent about just little achievements.”
“Don’t forget that. The Longfellow Group can develop to today’s scale because of me! You won’t have anything today if not for me!”
Janet snorted coldly.
“When I took the Longfellow Group from you, it was about to go bankrupt. Thanks for
ruining my father’s effort.”
Janet curled his fingers and Marco gave out the documents in his hands.
Janet sat down, “This is Dereion’s real plan. The high–end club is just a cover for him.
His real purpose is to build a casino inside the club!”
As soon as she said this, everyone was shocked.
Dereion’s expression changed suddenly. How did Janet figure it out? Less than five
people knew about the casino thing.
“The government spent great effort fighting gambling. Once others know about the
casino, the project is over. And the whole Longfellow Group will be in danger.”
Janet looked straight at Dereion, bringing him under pressure.
“You don’t care about the company at all. You only care about yourself. Dereion, explain
it.”
Dereion swallowed hard, his eyes rolling back and forth.
“The proposal you held is from years ago. Ms. Longfellow, I remember that Mr. Doherty
has adjusted it.” One shareholder on Dereion’s side explained.
“That’s right! A scrapped planning document can’t explain anything at all!”
Dereion followed suit, recalling that when Janet passed by just now, he could vaguely smell the men’s perfume on her body. An idea flashed across his mind.
“When it comes to personal interest, Ms. Longfellow, I think you are the one who cares about your personal interest instead of the company’s interest.”
“I’ve long heard that you are close to Nigel Walter. And you flirt with each other in the
Get Bongs.
company. I think you are trying to please him with the project!”
Dereion’s words caused an uproar.
Nigel was a famous playboy. Recently, he often appeared in Janet’s office. Janet was a woman. It was hard to tell whether she would do something stupid for a woman.
“Ms. Longfellow, is what Mr. Doherty said true?” A shareholder asked impatiently.
Janet looked at Dereion, whoo was in a panic and began to find fault with her personal life. She only found him ridiculous.
“First, the Longfellow Group will benefit the most from the contract I signed with Nigel. The company won’t suffer anything.”
“Second, it is also the real purpose of my shareholders‘ meeting today.”
Janet winked at Marco. Marco nodded. A projection appeared on the big screen in the
conference room.
The shareholders took a closer look and opened their mouths in shock.
