Luke said, “Mr. Grant, Linda is the elder sister of my student, and we’re good friends.”
He raised his glass. “Please take care of Linda, everyone.”
“Luke, we’ll naturally take care of your friend, and you should accommodate us more in the jewelry business.
“If you need anything, just let me know. I’m not stingy.”
“You said it, and we all heard it.”
Linda chimed in, “I heard it, too.”
Luke added, “My words are always genuine.”
With Luke’s help, the dinner went smoothly. After it ended, the two walked to the roadside together.
It wasn’t very cold tonight, and Linda didn’t have the bone–chilling feeling from before.
“Thank you for today,” she sincerely thanked Luke.
“It’s nothing.” Luke waved it off.
“The resources are from my mom. She’s a famous producer, Nina Watson. You should know her.”
This time, Linda was genuinely shocked.
It turned out that Luke had such a strong background.
Linda had considered many possibilities but hadn’t imagined his mother was such a powerhouse in film production.
“You’re not joking with me, are you?”
“Do I look like someone who likes joking around?”
“Your mom is impressive.”
Linda sighed sincerely. “It’s not surprising that such an outstanding woman has a son like you.”

“Don’t be modest. Your designs are truly remarkable.”

“I’m not lying to you.”
They both laughed as they walked toward their cars.
Arriving at the garage, Linda noticed William was there, too.
“Mr. Wilson, please step aside. We’re about to go back
Linda, Luke isn’t a good person.
Linda smiled. “Mr. Wilson, even if Luke isn’t a good person, he hasn’t caused me any substantial harm.
“But you’re different. I worry about being hurt just standing next to you.”
Her tone was distant and mocking, disregarding his dignity.
“Linda, you have to listen to me,” William said seriously

Her disdainful tone made William deflate.
