Chapter 132 

This dream was the complete opposite of the dreams she had had in the past. 

William and Linda’s roles seemed to have reversed. 

In this dream, William was totally smitten with Linda while she disregarded him. 

William was experiencing everything that Linda had gone through. 

In the end, she disappeared, and William fell into a slump and eventually committed suicide. 

When Linda woke up, she couldn’t help reliving the detalls of the dream. 

She did not know why her heart no longer ached when she thought about these things. All she felt was a sort of bitter amusement. 

How terrible had her life been in the past for her subconscious to try and deceive her through these dreams? 

“What did you dream about? Why are you smiling so happily?” 

Luke had driven to a small, very private villa. It was built in an architectural style from the last century. 

“I dreamt about my ex–husband.” 

Luke’s mouth immediately turned down at the corners. We don’t often get to hang out. Why are you dreaming about something as disgusting as your ex–husband?” 

Linda played along. “That’s what I don’t understand, either.” 

“But anyway, dreams aren’t real.” She unfastened her seatbelt and took out her bag. “My ex–husband and I are in the past. It’s not like anything would happen between us. 

Luke said, “I feel extreme disgust toward your ex–husband.” 

“Those who stay in the memories of the past and can’t get themselves out of it are the true idiots.” She had been a fool in the past and no longer wanted to be that way. 

People had to come to their senses eventually. If she could have done so slightly earlier, she could have saved the child. It was a pity that she had come to her senses too late. 

“I feel better to hear you say that. I was afraid that you would wallow in your memories.” Luke took Linda’s bag and led her along a winding path. 

“How did you find out about this place?” Linda looked at the lone library that stood at the center of the lake. 

“Do you know about this place too?” 

“There was once when I argued with my father in high school and stormed out on my own. I somehow wandered over to this place.”
