“After you both passed away, I was always fearful and on edge and couldn’t bear to push forward. So, I left,” Belle began, her voice trembling with the weight of her confession. 

“In the years that followed, I felt immense sorrow every time I thought about Mrs. Felix’s death. I wanted to speak out, but I was too afraid. When I learned that Ms. Linda survived, I was overjoyed but still too frightened to reveal the truth. 

“Yesterday, I was diagnosed with late–stage cancer. I don’t have much time left, so I came here to tell everything I know..

Linda frowned and helped Belle to her feet. “Madam Belle, is what you’re saying true?”

“Ms. Linda, you and Ms. Chloe were raised under my care. I have no reason to lie to you. Besides, the Felix family treated me well. I’m not someone who forgets kindness.” 

Belle had always taken good care of them and had a trustworthy character. 

“Madam Belle, I will thoroughly investigate this matter. Thank you for telling us 

Chloe took out a wad of cash from her bag and handed it to Belle. “Madam Belle, this is not much, but it’s 

a token of gratitude from Linda and me. Please accept it.” 

“Thank you, you two.” Belle’s hands trembled as she took the money. 

Afterward, Linda and Chloe returned to the car, and Chloe was the one driving now. 

Linda was on the phone with Samson. 

She couldn’t investigate this matter herself, as too many people were watching her every move.

Samson had always been suspicious about the true cause of John’s and Adeline’s deaths. Now it seemed 

his suspicions were correct.

Samson gestured for his assistant to pause his report. “It’s nothing. Mr. Felix treated me well, and it’s the 

least I can do. 

“I sent you an address. It’s a good spa. Take Chloe for a massage. Her shoulders must be stiff for having 

to work at her desk a lot.” 

Linda checked her WhatsApp and saw the spa address.

“Employee benefits for Ms. Felix. Enjoy it and come back ready to work tomorrow.” 

“Got it.” 

Chloe was curious
