No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 481

Noelle looked up at Donovan. "You used to say that the ties I picked for you looked the best. Every time you had an important contract to negotiate, you'd have me buy a new one and tie it for you."

Donovan stiffened. "And?"

Was Noelle trying to play the emotional card? If she could just behave, he might consider forgiving her this time.

The next second, Noelle yanked off Donovan's tie. "Didn't I buy this for you?"

Without hesitation, she tossed it into the trash can. Donovan was furious. "What are you doing?"

Noelle slapped Donovan, leaving him in shock.

"Now we're even. I won't hold it against you for giving my room and my belongings to Xenia." Her voice was eerily calm. "And I'll buy you a new tie. This one was old anyway."

Donovan was too shocked to respond.

Noelle continued, "Now that we've cleared things up, let's go. I don't want people to think the Liddell family is fighting."

She linked her arm through Donovan's. "Come on."

Xenia panicked. "Donovan!"

Donovan glanced at her guiltily. "I know what you want to say, but Noelle is still part of the Liddell family. Causing a scene won't be good for the family."

Noelle's temper was a double-edged sword. It would be beneficial if she reconciled with them. She might have teamed up with the brothers to take over the entertainment company today, but she could just as easily interfere in Liddell Corporation tomorrow.

Xenia was overwhelmed with fear. Why was Donovan so quick to forgive Noelle? Could she continue to stay with the Liddell family if Noelle returned to the family?

She blurted, "But they just tried to kick you out of the company!"

Noelle chuckled. "Oh, that? It's just a joke. The company belongs to Lucas, after all. I was just standing up for him."

Xenia was livid. That liar!
