Noelle even began to wonder whether the phone call was just an illusion or maybe even just a dream. She tossed and turned on her bed, unable to fall asleep for the entire night. She wanted to know what was the relationship between Cedric and Laura.
Noelle recalled that Laura had brought Cedric food when he was hospitalized back then. She had thought that they were simply just friends. She had also thought that Laura was much closer to Alfred instead and didn't think further about it.
But now, looking back at things made her realize that something was off.
Noelle could tell that Laura had been harboring hostility toward her for a long time. She had assumed that it was because of Samantha, but now, she realized that it was because of Cedric!
It was no wonder that Cedric was saying strange things during dinner at L Bistro yesterday. She wondered what exactly he was hiding from her.
As soon as dawn broke, Noelle got out of her bed and went for a run. She could not sleep at all. When she finally stopped from exhaustion, she took a look at her phone and saw that Cedric still had not replied to her message.
She hesitated for a moment but eventually decided not to give him a call. Noelle was not in a particularly great mood, and she returned to her room to freshen up before heading downstairs.
By then, the rest of the Liddell family was already awake.
The moment Noelle saw Donovan, she said, "Where's the money? I still don't have it yet."
"I'll have Amos transfer it to you later," Donovan replied.
"Do it now, or I can't guarantee what I might do all of a sudden."
Noelle was now like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode with one wrong move. Donovan also noticed her foul mood. He knew that if he pissed her off further now, she would do just about anything.
He eventually pulled out his phone to transfer the money. "Happy now?"
Noelle took a look at her phone and remained silent, lowering her head to eat breakfast.
As Wyatt and Xenia entered the dining hall, he turned to Noelle and said, "Do you remember what I told you yesterday? I told you to move out of your room!"
Noelle lost her appetite instantly. She stood up and walked toward Xenia, which startled Xenia to the point of turning pale.
