Chapter 455 Terminating The Contract
When Isla didn't hear Zachary's reply, she looked up to find his gaze directed elsewhere.

She followed his gaze, her eyes landing on the silhouette of the young woman. However, all she saw was the woman turning around the corner, vanishing from sight.

Only then did Zachary return his gaze toward Ilia. “Hattie doesn't need your gift. Don't ever show up in front of us again!”

Isla's face turned pale. This was the first time she had ever been rejected in such a manner.

She bit her lip, retorting, “Do you think I wanted to see you? If it weren't for your aunt asking me to visit Old Mrs. Fuller and Hattie, I wouldn't have come here. And all I get for my good intentions is your insults!”

“So, why aren't you leaving yet?”

Rendered speechless, Isla glared at Zachary before storming off.

She could tell that Zachary hesitated at first, contemplating whether to accept her help to keep an eye on Harrietta in the restroom.

However, when the young woman suddenly passed by them, Zachary's demeanor drastically changed. It was then that he coldly urged her to leave.

Who exactly is that woman? Zachary knows her, and it seems she also know Zachary too, yet neither of them exchanged greetings.

By the time Lenora felt that something was off, it was already Wednesday.

From last Tuesday to Thursday, she had been busy shooting advertisements for all the new clothing lines according to schedule. However, due to issues with the model, the process was delayed. It wasn't until Saturday that they finally wrapped up the shoot.

Next, it was time to edit the photos.

Having once managed a clothing brand, Lenora was well aware that advertisements for clothing didn't require excessive embellishment.

The design of the clothing and the photos of the model trying them on were essentially meant to provide a reference for the buyers.

Lenora made some quick edits to the photos, then promptly sent them off to the person in charge of advertising.

The head of advertising, however, declared it inadequate and asked her to redo it.

Lenora asked what was unsatisfactory, but he couldn't quite put it into words, only mentioning it felt awkward.

At that moment, Lenora didn't harbor any suspicions. Some clients, particularly those not specialized in the field, were just like that.

She dug up past advertisements of the brand's new seasonal collections, referencing their previous styles. She meticulously examined each image once more before making minor edits.

The person in charge of advertising, however, still insisted that it wasn't acceptable.

It was then that Lenora felt that something was off, so she specifically did some digging on the clothing brand.

Only then did she discover that the brand was a subsidiary of the Wilson family.

In that instant, Lenora's first reaction was that this matter was related to Isla, and she knew she couldn't afford to waste any more time with them.

However, if she proposed to terminate the contract, she would have to pay a hefty penalty for breach of agreement.

This was something Lenora couldn't accept.

Autumn was fast approaching, yet the company was wasting time with her, showing no urgency is preparing the new clothing line.

With that, Lenora got Bella to have two individuals look into the matter.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the other photographer initially contracted by the brand had not been released from their agreement. They had continued with the original shooting plan, and the post-production was nearly complete. They were about to enter the marketing and promotion phase.

In an instant, Lenora realized that the brand had planned to use that particular photographer's work from the very beginning. Signing her was nothing more than a ploy to mess with her.

This must be Ilia's doing!

Lenora took decisive action. She first filed a lawsuit, seeking to terminate her contract with the brand and demanding compensation. She then entrusted the case to a lawyer.
