30 Days Until He Loses Me by Aaren Collins novel Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Felicia felt that this was no different from torture.

Yet the man remained silent.

Her anxiety increased sharply, and standing at the side made it inconvenient for her to observe the wound and the position of the bullet.

After failing to extract the bullet twice, the man reached out and pulled her to stand directly between his spread legs, sliding his body down to make it easier for her to stand.

Felicia only needed to bend over to see the entire wound clearly.

However, the posture became even more bizarre.

But the situation was dire. Gideon had been bleeding for an unknown amount of time, his lips as pale as the white paint scraped on the wall. Felicia had no mood to worry about propriety between men and women; she quickly extracted the bullet and stopped the bleeding in one swift motion.

Gideon stared intensely at the woman above him, and strangely, even the pain seemed to lessen.

Perhaps from nervousness or fear, beads of sweat appeared on the woman’s forehead, trickling down her smooth, fair cheeks.

Under the incandescent light, a unique sensuality emerged, and the allure almost made Gideon’s heart skip a beat.

He had never felt this way before.

Perhaps noticing his lessthanpolite gaze, or maybe to avenge his earlier kiss, the woman suddenly poured the entire bottle of alcohol onto his wound.

Hiss!

Gideon snapped back to reality, unable to look away from the teasing and cunning in the woman’s

eyes.

After her revenge, Felicia wrapped the man’s wound with gauze, straightened up after patting her hands, and said, Alright, the wound must not touch water for two weeks.

You saved me twice.

While watching the woman clean up the bloodied instruments and gauze, Gideon had already

scanned Felicia and the entire house.

Her skillful handling of the wound suggested she was either a nurse or a doctor.

The cheap rental apartment made it more likely she was a nurse or a newly arrived intern doctor.

There were no male items in the room, so she was single, American, and looked about twenty- eight years old.

If Felicia had known Gideon guessed her age several years younger, she would have been so delighted that she would not have used alcohol to deliberately retaliate against him.

But for now, she still felt somewhat dissatisfied.

No need to thank me, but if you insistShe thought he could give her a card or something.

Then she remembered that they were in France, which was different from her home country.

Felicia became dispirited and said, Forget it, no need to thank me.

Are you American too?

Sort of.

Actually, he was not. Only his grandfather was American, his father was mixedrace, and his mother was French. Due to genetic inheritance, he ended up looking more like an American.

In reality, he was not even considered American.

But perhaps wanting to seem closer to her, he said, Sort of.

Felicia was just being polite and had no intention of asking further. She simply nodded slightly and said, Then you

She wanted to ask when he would leave.

Instead, he spoke first: How should I address you?

Felicia replied formally, Felicia Delgado.

That’s a beautiful name.

You’re not bad either. By the way, your name sounds familiar, but I can’t quite recall it right now.

As Felicia spoke, she forgot to ask when he would leave.

Later, seeing the man’s limited mobility, she felt even more embarrassed to ask.

Do you eat clam chowder?

She had almost assumed he was a mixedrace American.

Seeing him nod, Felicia went to prepare clam chowder.

Actually, when she first arrived in France, she had made seafood chowder.
