A Mix-up Made Me His Enemy's Woman novel Chapter 25

Chapter 25

Once they arrived, Holly chose to keep her distance from Noah, avolding him and his friends.

To her shock, besides Noah’s friends, Ella was there as well.

The moment Holly spotted Ella’s face, she felt sick to the stomach. Beth, I really can’t stand her. She’s so damn fake. Why is she even here?

As expected, Ella skipped over and threw herself into Noah’s arins.

A small smile played on Noah’s lips as he gazed at her adoringly. Be careful. Don’t trip from running too fast.

Holly couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She was about to complain to Bethany, but realized that the latter had turned away to pick up the fallen leaves.

Noah’s gaze drifted toward Bethany more than once, but to his surprise, she didn’t even bother glancing in his direction.

Did she really not care? Or was she just pretending?

Soon, the tent and canopy were set up.

They headed over to rent a portable stove to start the barbecue.

Bethany sat off to the side, lost in her own world, showing no interest in joining their conversation.

Someone proposed playing a game of dares, skipping truth entirely. Those who refused to complete the dare would take a penalty instead.

Bethany finally spoke. I won’t be joining this game.

Ella smiled sweetly. You’re here, so why don’t you just play along?

Someone else chimed in, Yeah! If you don’t want to, then why did you even bother coming? What a buzzkill!

Holly was about to retort when Bethany smiled and patted her hand comfortingly. Okay. Count me in then.

With that, they spun a wine bottle.

The first few dares were fairly standardlifting someone of the opposite sex in a bridal carry or confessing to a random person right then and there.

Those didn’t involve much physical contact.

Then the spinning bottle pointed at Bethany.

After she drew a card, her expression flickered slightly.

What did you get? Quick, read it out!Since Bethany hadn’t said anything for quite some time, someone couldn’t resist snatching the card from her. Wow, kiss any guy here for one minute!

The men present instantly perked up upon hearing that.

Bethany was easily the most attractive among all the ladies present. Getting a kiss from her would be quite the experience. Someone grinned mischievously. Come on, Beth. I’m single, so I’ll volunteer. Feel free to kiss me however you like!

A hint of disgust flickered across Bethany’s gaze.

Noah’s gaze locked onto hers silently. It was as though he were telling her that he would step in to help as long as she was willing to beg for his help.

Unfortunately, Bethany ignored him and looked at someone else. I’ll take the penalty.

Ah, that’s no fun, someone complained. Fine. Draw the penalty then.

Bethany stuck her hand into the pile of cards and drew one randomly. She then handed it to the moderator.

Please say sorry ten times to a person of the same sex wearing pink here.

She cast a calm glance around the room. No one wore pink except Ella.
