"Yes, everything is set in motion," he assured her.
His men would arrive there just ahead of Yardley and Fairfax.
Starla fell silent. Herbert opened his mouth to say something, but sensing her lingering detachment, he swallowed his words.
He would just have to be patient. For the rest of her life, he would be the only person in her world.
"How about I make you some fruit tarts this afternoon?"
She loved fruit tarts. But no one in the Yelchin family liked them, and neither did Fairfax, so she had always gone out to bakeries to get them.
