"I'll have another talk with the elders. I know how much you care about Darian," Rowena promised.
Rowena genuinely adored Yulisa and had been tirelessly advocating for her with Patrick and Eleanor.
It was a tough sell given the recent scandals, but now that Tanya was back, she was sure the elders would see reason. There was no way they would tolerate Tanya.
"But Darian doesn't care about me," Yulisa said bitterly.
She had stooped lower than she ever thought possible. She had stripped away her dignity for him, only to have him trample it into the dirt. Just the thought of it made her stomach turn.
"Love grows over time. You just need to have faith in him."
To Rowena, as long as Darian was forced to sever ties with Tanya and settle down, his focus would eventually shift to his new family. The immediate priority was just getting the wedding ring on Yulisa's finger.
"Mrs. Lynn..."
"Call me Mom! I've been waiting to hear you say it."
Yulisa hesitated. "I..."
"You will marry Darian. Don't you worry about a thing," Rowena declared with absolute certainty. As for Tanya, she could crawl back to whatever gutter she came from.
Hearing Rowena's unwavering support, Yulisa nodded, wiping her eyes. "Okay."
"Good girl."
Seeing Yulisa so obedient made Rowena like her even more. Why Darian was so obsessed with a girl like Tanya when he had a perfectly respectable childhood friend right in front of him was beyond her.
...
"Oh, please. As if you can control him," Eleanor shot back, irritated.
If Darian actually listened to his mother, they wouldn't be in this mess. He had always been wildly rebellious. Forcing him to marry Yulisa right now seemed impossible.
And then there was the issue of Yulisa herself...
"Given her recent scandals, I hardly think Yulisa is an ideal choice," Eleanor muttered.
"Who else would be willing to marry him right now?" Rowena countered sharply.
Eleanor's face darkened, but she had no rebuttal.
Darian's scandalous elopement with Tanya was the talk of Marina City. No respectable family with any real standing was going to hand their daughter over to him now.

Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
