His voice was laced with a dark, unprecedented hostility.
"She refuses to come," Shaw replied.
"Then drag her back!"
In other words, use force. If she was going to play hardball to leave Marina City, he was going to play hardball to keep her.
"Understood."
"I'm on my way. Secure her," Darian commanded before hanging up.
He turned to leave, but Rowena grabbed his arm. "Yulisa isn't out of surgery yet," she reminded him flatly, her dissatisfaction obvious.
"What's more important to you?" Darian shot back. "Yulisa, or your own grandchild?"
Rowena didn't have to answer. In her heart, Yulisa won out.
"So I guess I'm not as important as Yulisa to you either, right?"
"What kind of nonsense are you spouting?" she scolded.
He never used to speak to her like this. She blamed Tanya entirely for corrupting him.
Darian glanced at his watch. "I know exactly what you're plotting, but Yulisa and I grew up as buddies. You can't matchmake us."
He didn't know what Yulisa was thinking, but his own stance was crystal clear. Friends didn't suddenly become husband and wife.
"She's a woman, not your 'buddy'! Stop acting like a fool!"
"Am I the fool, or are you?" Darian's temper was uncontainable now. He was stressed about Yulisa and exhausted by Tanya's escape attempt.
Tanya glared at him, her face thunderous.
He didn't take her to her apartment. Instead, he drove straight to the heavily guarded villa she had stayed at the night before.
As he pulled her inside, she noticed even more security personnel scattered around the property. He was putting her under house arrest.
Her anger reached a boiling point. But when someone is truly that furious, it often drains them of all their physical energy.
She sank onto the sofa. "Is Yulisa dead yet?" she asked, her words dripping with venom.
Darian's jaw twitched. When did her mouth get so toxic? The girl wasn't even out of the woods, and Tanya was wishing death upon her?
She met his gaze. "What? Did I offend her? You think it's inappropriate for me to wish her well on her journey to hell?"
He couldn't even formulate a response to how vicious she sounded. Had Yulisa even done anything to deserve this level of hatred from her?

Hahaha This plot of story i hate about, choosing another girl instead of your own wife is something unreal, you didnt considered your wife feeling, you didnt even trust her and later on you will say sorry?? Was sorry will fixed everything you've done? Was sorry fixed her heart? it was unfair for your wife, you must choose your wife whatever it is. You know your wife well more than anyone else and the only person she should lean on was the person who pushes her away...
