Amos slapped his shoulder. "A man shouldn't hang himself on one tree, no matter how much you love the woman!"
"Look who's talking. Do you even have the right to judge?" Fairfax shot him an icy glare.
Amos awkwardly pulled his hand back. "Alright, alright, we all have our weak spots. But seriously, stealing Yardley Hoggart's woman? It's a miracle you're still breathing."
"It wasn't stealing," Fairfax muttered defensively.
"Whatever you say. Anyway, there's a massive move happening in the Black Sea the day after tomorrow. Get ready." They dropped the personal banter, both their expressions hardening at the mention of the Black Sea.
