Chapter 149-

Chapter 14,9

Brian’s POV

My stomach churned violently, guilt and self-loathing sticking to my throat like thick bar, choking the air out of me.

God help me! What the hell did I do last night?

I slept with Silvia. Worse, I mistook her for Ashley!

It’s not like I even care about Silvia-but she’s so fragile, still recovering, and I spent the right with her. Damn it, I hop put her health in danger.

“Bang!” I shoved the door to Grandma’s study open hard.

“You reckless oaf! Can’t you remember basic manners like knocking before barging in?” Grandma glared at me from be antique mahogany desk, her sharp-tipped cane striking the floor with a harsh thud, her gaze cutting through me like a b

I tugged irritably at my tie, struggling to keep my temper in check. “Just tell me already, what’s so urgent that you had to me? I’ve got a mountain of mess waiting to be sorted out!”

Grandma didn’t flinch, her expression icy as she tossed a parchment stamped with the Bloodmoon Pack’s seal onto the de front of me. The deep red wax resembled a fresh drop of blood, sharp enough to sting my eyes. “The Alpha of the Bloodm Pack, Hebert, has issued a hardline ultimatum,” Grandma’s voice carried an unyielding authority that left no room for argument. “He’s exerting the full force of the Bloodmoon Pack to crush Blackwood Pack under economic and territorial pressure. He demands that you go immediately to the Pack Council Hall and sever your bond with Ashley once and for all.”

“No way in hell!” I roared, my voice erupting like a thunderclap as my eyes burned red with fury. My palm slammed down c expensive desk with a loud crack, the wood groaning under the force. “Ashley is my Luna! There’s no chance I’ll break our t Hebert? That power-hungry tyrant? Who does he think he is, the god of all wolves?”

“Shut your foolish mouth, Brian!” Grandma snapped, her sharp fone slicing through my outburst. She shot to her feet, the commanding presence of a former Luna instantly silencing me “Are you blind to how dire Blackwood’s situation is right no Or is your head so full of rotting stupidity you can’t see it? Hebert controls the alliance economy! With just one move, he coul bankrupt us and turn our family into a laughingstock across the packs!”

I clenched my jaw so tight my teeth ached, anger and helplessness churning violently in my chest. My wolf howled in my mir wild and desperate, refusing to accept the brutal truth staring us in the face.

“You’re an Alpha! You have to take responsibility for your people, for the honor of your family!” Grandma pressed me relentlessly, her voice sharp and unforgiving. “You’re the Alpha of Blackwood Pack! If you drag the entire pack so ruin because of some Omega who doesn’t even have a wolf spirit, you’ll go down in history as the most disgraceful kaper we’ve ever had. Ge to the Pack Council Hall right now and sign that damned agreement! It’s your absolute duty as as Alpha!”

Humiliation and helplessness hit me like a raging storm, swallowing me whole. I couldn’t deny it – I was weak, too weak to stand firm against it all. Between the survival of my family and the judgment of the outside world, I bowed my head in shame.

“I’ll go,” I croaked out, my voice hoarse. Those words felt like they ripped my soul apart.

A few days later.

The brilliant sunlight gleamed off the pristine white marble steps of the Pack Council Hall My steps were heavy as stepped our of the carriage, and my eyes were immediately drawn to Ashley, standing by the towering stone columns. She wore a simple pale blue dress today, and her soft hair danced lightly in the breeze. She looked stumming like a goddess descending from Olympus, glowing with a serene, radiant grace.

Beside her stood Hebert, exuding the aura of a predator lurking in the shadows. Mix tailored black suit emphasized the raw power of a top-tier Alpha, and it was as it his presence forced the very an around him to grow thinner. When he saw me, his piercing sapphire-blue eyes flashed with a cold warning. Yet, he remained composed, standing there without erupting like some enraged maniac.
