Chapter 161
The plane touched down swilly, and I quickly adjusted my clothes before following Hebert to the hotel.
“My goodness, this hotel–it’s a masterpiece, straight out of an Atlantis legend,” I said, standing astounded in front of the enormous floor–to–ceiling window, taking in the breathtaking view of the sapphire–blue Aegean Sea.
The sleek, oval–shaped building stood quietly at the edge of the coastline, surrounded by pristine white sand gently kissed by the ocean breeze. But my awe was short–lived. Turning around, I caught sight of the two neat rows of uniformed guards and maids in the lobby. Just like that, my excitement plummeted.
“Hebert, I’m not comfortable being watched like this. Can you have them all leave?
Hebert didn’t show even a hint of irritation. He calmly walked over to me, ruffling my hair in that familiar, affectionate way.
“Of course, Ashley,” he replied. Turning towards the room, his voice hardened slightly. “Everyone, leave the building immediately. No one is to approach unless I give explicit orders. If we need anything, I’ll let you know. Now, out.” In just a few seconds, all the guards and maids were gone. Now it was just me and him in this villa.
I couldn’t wait any longer and dashed into the spacious changing room. Quickly, I slipped into a sexy burgundy bikini.
Barefoot, I pushed open the glass door leading to the private beach. The warm sea breeze, thick with the salty tang of the ocean, hit me in the face.
“Come on, Hebert! It’s absolutely perfect here!” I shouted, running straight into the crystal–clear water, turning back to wave at
him.
But Mr. Alpha? He was like a marble statue, frozen stiff, planted a full meter away from the water on the dry sand.
Today, he was wearing a casual white linen shirt, the collar left open lazily. But his jawline was tight, and there was something unspoken lurking in his usually composed eyes–a flicker of unease.
“I’ll just stay here and admire your beautiful swim, Ashley,” Hebert said calmly, though I caught the faint tension in his tone. There’s no way I’m going near that cursed water.”
Wait, had I found a little secret? I couldn’t resist tugging at him playfully.
He instinctively resisted moving closer to the water.
“Are you… scared?” Lasked.
Hebert stayed silent.
“You’re actually scared?” I couldn’t help bursting into laughter, grabbing a handful of seawater and deliberately flinging it his
way.
The splash landed just inches from his polished leather shoes.
Hebert let out a sigh, his deep eyes brimming with indulgent exasperation. “Don’t test my patience, you little troublemaker. I’m warning you, if you dare get me wet, let’s just say you’ll regret crossing an Alpha tonight”
That blatant threat sent a shiver racing down my spine. Reading the mood, I quickly turned away and dove back into the sapphire
blue waves, moving as gracefully as a carefree mermaid.
After a couple of laps, the exhaustion hit me in the most satisfying way, and I made my way back to share.
Hebert, ever attentive, was already waiting with a plush white towel. Wrapping me snugly in his embrace, be carefully dried she water droplets off my hair. On a low table beside us, an array of fresh chilled fruits and an exquisite bottle of champagne awaited

Inodded without hesitation.
The beach looked like a piece of paradise, as if à pearl had accidentally fallen from heaven. The soft white sand felt like the finest
silk beneath my feet, making every step effortless.
I sprawled lazily on the wide beach chair, soaking up the sun’s warmth on my back.
“Hebert, I can’t reach my back. Could you help me with the oil?” 1 grumbled, holding the pricey bottle of oil, frustrated at my
inability to apply it evenly.
“My pleasure, darling,” Hebert’s low voice came from above me, smooth with a teasing undertone.
Taking the bottle from my hand, he let the cool, thick oil drip onto my heated skin, the contrast between the cold oil and the blazing sun sending a shock through me. The unexpected sensation made every nerve tingle, and the sea breeze, carrying a hint of saltiness, mingled with the faint coconut scent of the oil, gripping my senses entirely.
