Elgin:
Early that morning, I had received a call from Rosetta saying she couldn't handle Elara, so I had to go to her and deal with the situation myself.
In other words, I had to scold the fuck out of her.
Her mother had never treated me well.
She never saw me as her mate, someone not even worthy of a little attention or affection.
And now Elara was sitting on my neck, causing me endless irritation and frustration.
I had to leave my daughters, my poor, innocent daughters, and it was one of the hardest things I'd ever had to do.
"No, Daddy, you're not leaving!" Hailey cried, holding tightly to my arm, while Hannah clung to the other.
These two could never do anything to make me hate them.
But Elara only had to breathe, and I'd hate her.
"Kids, don't bother your daddy. He'll be back home before you know it."
Silver stepped forward and took hold of their arms, but she couldn't pull them away.
The moment she tried, the two started crying even louder.
I motioned for Silver to stop and not force them.
Then I crouched beside the girls.
"Daddy would never miss your event. Just remember that," I told them, looking at both of them. "Not even if the Moon Goddess herself stood in my way."
I meant every word.
I wanted my daughters to know how important they were to me.
And honestly, no one could compare to them.
Not even Madeline or Elara.
They were my blood.
They were special. I had watched them grow up.
The two smiled and wrapped their arms around me.
"You're not leaving?" Hannah asked innocently.
I nearly laughed.
"No, listen to me. I'll be back, okay? I promise."
I looked at both of them as I spoke.
"We're going to perform really well today. In fact, our performance will be the best."
I patted their cheeks before they hugged me again.
Then I stood and turned to Silver.
"I have to leave, but don't worry. I'll be there personally to pick the three of you up and take you to the event," I murmured, keeping my voice low and gentle.
"It's okay. You go ahead. I'll prepare for the evening, and then we'll get dressed together for our performance. It's going to be the last one anyway."
Silver gestured dismissively before smiling brightly at me.
The kids ran off, but I still had something to tell her.
She was the peace I returned to after a hellish day.
She stood in the doorway, worry etched across her face.
"Did she keep you awake too?" I asked Rosetta.
She pouted, but when I stepped closer and kissed her forehead, she smiled.
"But it's okay. She's just a child. She must miss her mother," Rosetta murmured softly.
Of course she would say that.
She was an empath.
"Where is her mother?" she asked quietly.
My fist clenched.
I decided to tell her exactly who Elara's mother was.
"Somewhere in a cabin, probably having a threesome. That's what she does. The moment she finds herself tangled up with more than one man, she spreads her legs."
I knew she was probably spread out between Ron and Byron right now.
I wouldn't have been surprised if they were taking turns on her pussy and asshole.
I just wished I had one last chance to fuck her, I would have destroyed her holes.
I wouldn't be surprised if she had children with them, just as she had with us.
That was why those children didn't matter to me.
In my eyes, they were nothing more than products of shame and adultery.
