When I finally walked out wearing red lipstick, a white dress, and red sandals, my father was already waiting.

I got into the car, and he started driving while I anxiously waited to see Elgin.

It was going to be really hard for me to accept anyone other than Graham.

But Graham had left me with no choice.

When we arrived at the mansion, Elgin's car was pulling in at almost the exact same time.

And he did not look okay.

The way he slammed the door open and stepped out, I could already tell he had gotten the confirmation he needed.

In order to finally understand how much Silver had betrayed him, I stayed listening.

"You fucking bitch!" he screamed the minute Silver got out of the car.

I noticed Hailey and Hannah getting out behind their mother.

They were crying hysterically too.

"You fucking played me!" Elgin screamed again, throwing his phone onto the ground and making everybody flinch.

Lord John was trying his best to shield his daughter from Elgin's wrath.

At this point, I wondered if Silver was still going to lie.

Well, it seemed like she had finally given up.

That was when I noticed Silver checking me out.

She looked me up and down, and a frown deepened on her forehead.

"I'll fucking deal with you, Silver," Elgin grunted.

I could tell he needed to get away from her and have some time alone.

He moved off to the side while the kids remained with their grandfather.

Elgin's mother rushed after him, but Silver had already started marching toward me, more aggressively than ever.

"What are you doing here?" she demanded, almost snapping at me. "And why the fuck are you dressed like a hooker?"

The moment she called me a hooker, something inside me snapped.

I mean, if anything, I was the only one who hadn't been sleeping around with multiple men.
